tldr: telecoms offers a lot of mid-long term support. many areas were already asking for it so it turns out getting telecoms would satisfy the areas begging for it and overall not cripple the support in those, which is a rising percentage once the concern pops up, that decreases the support level, accessable through the region menu.
Great video mate - you mention a few time another video series you did previously on the game, but I couldn't find it - did you delete it since? Eager to get a few of the basics broken down! Cheers
Not to hate but pravus had WAY easier insurgents than I did, almost like if you play on brutal. I could only keep myself alive by agreeing to peace negotiations and farming the 4rep decisions
The armchair architect can be quite fun, and if she screws you over too hard you can instareset, but I do think you're better off with the celebrity. Starting support is way more important than it seems at first, specially with the PR office. Personally the two things I disagree with on his lineup are the chef and censor. I use the pilot and arms dealer instead. But that might be because I tend to use warlord (love the guy, I'd say he's the best for early game) and restart if I get too unlucky with the first camp spawn. PROTIP: DON'T BREAK THE FIRST CAMP IF POSSIBLE! If the insurgents control 4 areas they can be boxed in much more easily. 3 or less they start spawning randomly, 5 or more you get a huge PR hit and loose fairly quickly. At 4 so long as you keep stability high and have good security you can keep them back with only the eventual camp which is easy to send people to erase before it spawns actual insurgents (or if you get the plane possibly just nuke automatically), so letting them get 4 areas then starting the tenderizing with planes and drones can very quickly give you a ton of stability. Every map has multiple areas of 4 zones which can be boxed in with 3 or 4 soldiers and contain no cities. For instance in this one the south area can be boxed in like that in multiple ways and so can the east. So if the first camp spawns there you can just box them in immediately and focus on anticorruption, the one or 2 things people immediately ask for and just enough military to make sure they can't overwhelm you. This makes the game substantially easier and lets you retreat non-national soldiers instantly. PROTIP 2: If you have a lot of anti-corruption the warlord boy's will stop costing you money after a while because you can just turn a blind eye and let them increase corruption so long as it doesn't get past 50. You do have to wait until they can't spawn protests unless you can afford the PR hit so they do cost a lot in the end but it's more than worth it for the early box-in.
