Demo made me believe again. Played it twice now turning all assists off.. This is GOTY material. Every song has been an absolutely perfectly timed master piece. The combat is tight and fast, skillbased, and very enjoyable. The fight at the end of the demo challenge mode may have been the coolest boss i have ever played. The graphics, the music, Emotional cinematics, amazingly well correographed boss attack patterns, the setting, voice acting, EVERYTHING was incredible. If the game keeps up with that demo, this is a 9 or a 10 game. Unbelievable piece of 3D art
What do you mean by "skill based"? You can do more if you have more "skill" but it doesn't mean you do better. They literally designed the game so it can support a feature where you just press square to get through fights. I know some people like looking cool and flashy but I don't really care if it's not necessary. By going full action they have to cut a lot of strategy in the combat. Don't think they even have slowdown.
The demo was a blast but i hope that the talk is real for the fact that we played the 1.01 version and NOT the 1.03 one. Performance was very bad in the demo. Need to be fixed as far as perf and visual clarity goes.

I was already excited for Yoshi to be taking over but knowing Soken is doing the music absolutely sold this game for me for that alone. Basically giving us a playable soundtrack at that point.

It's usually the case for big soundtracks. Like for XV, even though Yoko Shimomura was credited as the composer, the linear notes indicated that there were 2 or 3 more composers for a large number of tracks. You also require different people arrange the tracks themselves. Like for 7R, the songs were composed by Uematsu but many composers did the arrangements.

But the classic one is as perfect as the remake. 4- X 5- V The best 1- V 2-IX 3-VI 4-X 5-VII Try the remake from VII, its a really badass game. A love XV but its not a top ff game, but as a experience its pretty nice.

@@alexradice8163 hmm i think arystyle of final fantasy is pretty and they make pretty cutscenes....but the rest 90% of the game using real time rendering simply out of date thats mostly shows how lazy the devs are with copy paste... that don't put that much attention to detail in the gameplay itself is pretty sad :/ Elden ring does look pretty nice and unique sure it's another Japanese Devs and they usually put focus only in character faces and the rest is always out of place... In elden ring they matched environment to the characters so they look very fitting!
Best demo I've played in years. I played the beginning already 4 times. The last time I finished a demo more than once was via PS1 Demo discs. Well done!
After playing the demo, I realised they have really worked on the game and made it an experience worth remembering. Singleplayer games are still the best ❤

On Dec 8, at the game awards, when they revealed the date from the Revenge trailer. It was like 178 days till release.....do you know how long that felt for me? It felt like rhe game was gonna never release. Everyday when I got on the ps5 i always checked ff16 for how many days left and there would be days where i thought it had 82 days ledt but it was actually 80 days left and I woyod get soooo excited. Definitely playing at 11pm CT next Wednesday

The fact that we're getting the game less than 3 years after it was officially revealed is a pleasant surprise, and it's even crazier to think that we would've gotten it sooner if it wasn't for the pandemic. I'm definitely going to stay awake to play this game at midnight. Hoping for an amazing experience.

Starfield has an amazing concept and does have serious potential, but I think giving Bethesda the benefit of the doubt at this point is a fool's errand.

I am extremely excited for FFXVI, I played the demo and it was awesome. If the demo is representative of the rest of the game we are gonna enjoy this game very much. But you cannot compare TotK and FFXVI, they are very different games. We still don't have FFXVI out, so we cannot say it will be GOTY material for sure, but if it is and it doesn't win, the merit is on TotK, which is a marvelous game and it is currently (by far) the best game of the year. So... yeah. No point on discussing about this things! Just enjoys as many excellent games as possible and recognize ALL the developers that made an incredible work on those games :)
I love when developers actually utilize a controllers special features! Like how Resident evil used the controllers light bar to tell you how hurt you were, or Shadow of Morder used the hand speaker for the elf arrows.

combat gameplay looks mid tbh. Linear power scaling with difficulty so you never actually power up. JRPG grind fest. A bit dated concept imo.
