I was a crane operator on N California for 40 years and removed hundreds of trees and never had a crew as skilled as you guys! You don't know how many times I've had limbs flip over or break because of improper rigging. I used to get a sick feeling in my stomach when I was dispatched to a tree job because of the crews I had to work with alot of them didn't speak English. Well done gentlemen if I worked with a crew like yours I'd have a lot less Grey hair!
Its easy to get distracted by the quality workmanship or the videography, but as a business owner, I applaud you for how well oiled your operation functions. The back end stuff is what gets overlooked on RUclips, but its the toughest part of the business. Bookkeeping, scheduling subcontractors, moving trucks around, dumping, keeping your guys in line, making sure everything has fuel, doing the estimates, back and forth with the customers, on and on... just the logistics of it all. You guys are extremely efficient, everyone knows their role, and you get jobs knocked out quick and on to the next. Safety, productivity, and happy employees / customers is all you can ask for man. God bless! Keep dominating 2023.
Yes, I don’t think customers realize how much we do before and after being on their site. Im up at 4am often fueling trucks, setting up, equipment maintenance, etc
New Subscriber. This was amazing! Love people who not only do an amazing job, but clean everything up afterword too! Am sharing this on a couple my pages!
Reon, you never stop impressing me with your desire to have fun and be the consummate professional on the job with your crew. You exhibit the work ethic that built this country. All the best to you in the future with the growth of your company and channel.
You’re badass. Caught me off guard with the paramotor! I just started a tree business and have been in the kitesurfing industry for 5 years. Live it up Reon!
I have wanted to fly since I was a small child. Now you and your flying are just what I always wanted. Good for you. Looked like so much fun. Great jobs on removing those trees. I hope that record lasts a long time.
Another great job on huge tree. You did a great job talking about how slings are Attached and how you broke the tree down intological parts to sling it properly with a separate climber. It isn't always about the cutting.
Brand new to the channel. Just liked and subscribed 👍 Never seen this type of work done before….impressive 🙂 You guys sling things so well it makes moving thousands of pounds around like your moving feathers. Absolutely incredible👌 Really nice work guys. I’d be proud if you did tree work for me. I’d recommend you to everyone! Your videos speak volumes…..
Thanks for sharing Reon! Great job as always thanks for sharing tips and tricks that have taken yrs to learn I greatly appreciate them! Stay safe and keep ripping!
Many guys have no idea how hard ash can be to cut, dead standing is pretty knarly. Great job by the crane op, having been on the controls of KB for yrs and some old school cranes, I get how sketchy tree rigging can be. Hope you enjoy your coffee, you deserve it 🤩 lol.
New sub here. Learned of your channel after your collaboration with Jake Rogers. I live across the "Big Pond" from your service. But if you were stationed here in lower MI, I'd use your company for tree removals on my place. Nice looking equipment and crew.
Great job. Very interesting. I used to climb for a small landscaper here in MA. But I'm going to be 76 on Easter so I don't do it anymore. Things have changed a lot also.
Great thing to see pro`s at work. Calling out safety as you go. I've been in construction long time, you are superman. Thanks for sharing, mostly so the guys who don't know better hopefully learn. At least to the point of humility. If u know what I mean. Take care GB
Great job, very efficient. You mentioned purchasing your own stick crane. Massive investment that could limit yourself as per what you said on that second job (willow tree). A bigger crane may be needed and that being said. How big of a crane do you buy given that every job is diferent. Not to mention the maintenance, insurance and another operator on the payroll that you have to keep busy. I'm retired now (sort of) and used to operate a business called You Rent I Run. I would consult a client for a fee on the job, it was usually a GC, and let them know what I needed and how long it would take. I also suggested rental agencies and left him to gather the locates. Most jobs were in the back but if out front I would pick up the locates as by law. My only overhead was my 1/2 ton pickup. So one day I might have been demolishing a house and the next digging footings, then backfilling but the GC would usually take care of that. Anyway not trying to tell you what to do, just offering an old mans wisdom by experience. Maintenance costs on one of those big boy cranes wouldn't be cheap, not to mention cutting into your flying time.
I always enjoy watching the professionals taking care of business!! They are worth every dollar it takes to safely get rid of menacing and dangerous trees!! Well done gentlemen!! 👍🏼🙏
Craning tree business is a learning experience every day to say the least. Nice work! Great guessing on your weights. I used to do it operating a 25 ton Manitex, and 50 ton Grove. We just had to get a lot closer n' not bite'm off so big. Also would do a lot of rooftop AC compressors and trusses. Be safe, God Bless.
Great video. August Hunicke mention you. I liked and subscribed. I watch Buckin and Logger Wade. And more. If I was younger I would have loved to do what you guys do. I cut a lot trees and wood for family, friends and myself. My father in law calls the logger. I really like watching the pros. I learn a lot. Thanks for what you do.
Reon, from CA....that was smart, cool, coordinated, well communicated and talented work. Way to go. Very fun to watch you orchestrate that serious and dangerous work. Well done, again!
Hi Reon. really enjoyed your work . Cought you last when Guilty of treason was on your video. Liked having second man in tree cutting. Good move on the Willow cleanup leaf blower worked perfect. Hope to see you soon.
First video of yours I've seen. Every time I brag on myself, or someone else brags on me, before the job is done, something goes wrong. I never would have guessed those limbs weighed that much. Despite framing some of the biggest custom homes in the Atlanta area spanning many years I never got used to the heights. Watching you dangling from the crane and in the top if that tree my a$$hole was puckerd so tight you couldn't have gotten a needle up it with a jackhammer. You have one hell of a pair my friend! Stay safe.
One of very few guys I watch that “gets it” and doesn’t annoy me. I like legitimate companies and good stewards of the Tree Industry. This Gentleman is obviously one of them. Family man, good to his help, excellent to his customers… a great role model to newcomers to the Tree business.
I really enjoy your work, but I have a question for you, when you get to the very last cut on a massive tree like this, could you not leave enough for it to be crafted into a bench for sitting on or a table or even crafted into an animal such as a bear or a bird. I’m just really interested in your work, I think it’s great. Best wishes from Glasgow, Scotland 🏴👍
I just subbed and have so many questions lol. Do you have to get permits to block the street? And out of curiosity, who get's paid the most....Crain operator?
@Reon loved the margins of safety on the weights. Every Willow near bldgs were always beautiful until they weren't. 🤣 Nice 'Pick Up' job on the way home 🏡. Pun intended. Stay Safe and Happy New Year to you and the family 👪. 🤘😎✌️
I have only done crane work 2 times in my tree years . They are the only way to go in situations like this . I like your crane operator . The guy who was operating when I was climbing smacked me up so I went down and smacked him up and told him it's his turn to climb and I'll operate the crane . I like your crew better than the group I was helping out . God bless and heads ,up no headache's!
Awesome video man! Honestly very entertaining & interesting! Great idea to start a YT channel documenting your work, I'm willing to bet that this channel will blow up, almost surprised it hasn't because it's got me subscribing!
Such a shame it was starting to decline, it's very rare to see ash trees that big. We have a couple in my area in PA but with injections they're on life support
ExcelllentJOB, Great Vid just curious I noticed the telephone poles had telecom tags. Do U know by chance that they [hone company does the pole work In HOuse???. Sorry for the random question Im east coast. I came here from GUilty of treason with THe knuckle bOOM vid. BAD ASS.. WHat state and area??
As an experienced rigger…once you get your slings set and you’re confident the hook is hanging over center tell the operator “cable up, you’re gonna start to take some tension, hold your radius”. This lets him know not to wait for your command to boom up to account for deflection and allows him to do it on his own
If he’s like me, the face cut he uses in the tree mostly depends on ergonomics. I’ll back bar a humboldt in with a top handle if that’s what is safest and most comfortable, or cut a conventional with a large saw if I have big wood & unbstructed access. Looking forward to Reon’s answer if he sees this.
If you have to control the wedges themselves, conventional with the angle cut second so the piece doesn’t ride the chain out and smash something below.
Well I hit the like button before the video started and I'm already subscribed so I guess I'll just have ta fly up an take y'all out for dinner again 😀 Realty great video Reon and Awesome job !!!! That was a beast of an Ash and under 2 hrs... just Wow !!!
Beautiful view from 180ft up. You'd never get tired of that. Really impressed that you build your guys up while they work. You're a good boss, great work, thanks.
I’ve been wanting to get some of your crane slings for a while now. Might just have to pull the trigger. What is the Nick Taylor balancer and where can you buy one?
Mr. Rounds, Started to watch this video and when you said flight I thought you were headed to a pilot school or something. you are my kind a loco on the glider man, wish I could do that.. ;-) Fun video,, good luck to you... Jose R Garcia
I also put shelves in my van. but I was too scared to drill into the floor so laid three-quarter inch plywood down on the floor of the van and use l brackets to fasten the plywood on the sides. I also bought the same bulkhead. and used two-by-fours as spacers to move the bulkhead back gives me a little more room in the cabin
Would it have made any sense to leave the tree in place after removing about half of its height? I understand the customer gets what they want, but it seemed healthy as you got lower.
Looks like a green ash with eab? Lots of sprouting from the eab gallery wounds that get in the way and are a pita. We have done many that size and much larger but have pretty much used up our supply of ash here. Last big one we did was with a 90 tonner with counterweights brought in on a tractor trailer. Very profitable if you can price in the crane properly. I once called W Coast Saw to see about saw mods and they said they don't do it. So I went to Rip Saw to do my 661. Did a great job. You guys got it together but don't dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on the back because somebody is doing all these giant ash across the country just like that one...and even much bigger. Try just sticking sprout stems in the cuts to keep from pinching. Beats mini wedges. Cheers.
Great crane. Well rigged. Saw,,, my old Jonsered could/ can rip circles around your WCS Husky and Jonsered,, essentially the same thing today. Husky bought Jonsered because of the excellent design and engineering dept. Jonsered is what every pulp wood sawyer used in Michigan for decades. No qualifications required,, You are good.
Lots of great info and another job well done Reon and team 👌
Thanks GORDY💪😁

Definitely need more videos like this👌 keep up the good work 💪
Well done Reon and Crew. What an inspiration you guys are. Tony stark of tree work ( I did not come up with that line)
That last pick was a little dynamic Reon. Haha
Any advice on buying the Avant 860I. looking to buy and would like some advice. 860I Review Video maybe?
New Subscriber. This was amazing! Love people who not only do an amazing job, but clean everything up afterword too! Am sharing this on a couple my pages!

Fantastic work and fantastic video coverage. Really enjoyed you sharing tips and narrating. Good stuff man!
Found you from Jacob's channel......cool stuff!! Like the saw you got from Gordy's company! Are all tree guys cool and nice?!
Thanks, Reon for bringing us along. Kinda reminds me of a Kansas corn crop, "Outstanding In Its Field" Oh yeah! Enjoyed the early morning flight too.
Another great job on huge tree. You did a great job talking about how slings are Attached and how you broke the tree down intological parts to sling it properly with a separate climber. It isn't always about the cutting.

Awesome video! Great work! Love watching you and your crew. Anyone else notice the squirrel come running down the trunk at the 29.30 min mark? 😂
Yep
You have a great crew you can tell you guys can work together without little to no direction. Kudos to your whole team and yourself
This the best crane removal job I have ever seen. I'd love to get taught by you.
Great video. Curious, what did that job cost the homeowner ?
Thanks for HELPING OUT the neighbors in need.
Amazing work Reon love it😁😎👍
Great fucking video man!! Wish you would do more, I’m new to climbing and like the way you explained everything 👍👍
Excellent video and great editing! Even my kids enjoyed it! Thank you for keeping the content G rated.
Another awesome video Reon, please keep them coming. Best of the best.

You are the man Reon love it! Awesome videos keep up the great work thank you!

Ken could be a Jerry springer look alike lol much love reon and crew! Great job!! ❤❤😎🤘🏻
Would love to see more of this content. Great video editing!
What do you have on the back of your rope runner. That might be better then the having a carabiner below the pulley idea.
@Reon loved the margins of safety on the weights. Every Willow near bldgs were always beautiful until they weren't. 🤣 Nice 'Pick Up' job on the way home 🏡. Pun intended. Stay Safe and Happy New Year to you and the family 👪.

Good to see a rigger who knows when to boom up vs. cable up. Many riggers don't understand boom deflection.
Great video! Y’all work like greased lightening!❤
How long does it take to set up and break down the crane?
Will you use your own crane now if you come back and do the big willow ?
Hi,and what did you charge for two hours work ?
Great job Reon...... keep em coming.
I love seeing the best tools for the job and clean execution of tasks, deadly. Good work y'all

Great informative video👍 what's crane rental rate for the 115
How much would a job like this cost for the client if you don’t mind me asking?
Awesome video! Keep ‘‘em coming 😎 I’m from Tulsa is that Nick’s Tree service you were referring too?
Yes he’s a good friend of mine
Such a shame it was starting to decline, it's very rare to see ash trees that big. We have a couple in my area in PA but with injections they're on life support
I had no idea they got that big.
@@taylorhickman84 I've seen ash over 100ft and about 6-7ft wide at base.
Always enjoy these videos! 💪🏼💪🏼
What was the cost of the removal in total ??
amazing video!!! great looking out with the warning on the noise
Sadly a four hr crane time with travel. Your merlo bought through brooks by chance?
What state is that you were flying in?
Oh such a beautiful tree.. Wonder why they want it down. It looks so healthy.
Yes I see I spoke too soon..
Great work guys, certainly makes the job efficient with that lifting capacity.
Hey bud. Great video. Where did you get that CMI shackle. Can’t find it.
Thanks! Amazon!
I love my 661 also. Same WCS mods. 42" bar tho. Rips thru big trees like cutting butter.

What did that willow leader cost to do last minute like that??
Awesome job guys 👍 can’t wait for the next one 💪🏼Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽😎🌴
What is daily charge to rent the 110 ton boom truck?
As an experienced rigger…once you get your slings set and you’re confident the hook is hanging over center tell the operator “cable up, you’re gonna start to take some tension, hold your radius”. This lets him know not to wait for your command to boom up to account for deflection and allows him to do it on his own
I love running into your crew in Madison this summer. Looked like you guys had a big pick.
Reon also your 661 is it souped up or is it stock just with the
Nothing better than a high tie in point 💪👍 great vid!
This job was awesome thank you and keep them common
Great vid Reon. Now I understand your flying machine. Question…what kind of cut wedges do you prefer?
If he’s like me, the face cut he uses in the tree mostly depends on ergonomics. I’ll back bar a humboldt in with a top handle if that’s what is safest and most comfortable, or cut a conventional with a large saw if I have big wood & unbstructed access. Looking forward to Reon’s answer if he sees this.
If you have to control the wedges themselves, conventional with the angle cut second so the piece doesn’t ride the chain out and smash something below.
Awesome job brother... absolutely love your videos...keep them coming ...stay safe and God bless my friend!!
Awesome job ,your ground crew is amazing to keep up at those speeds. Thanks for the video. Keep rippin
Great job & your crazy hanging from that hi . I must be afraid of heights? & I was the one hanging up there . Lol
Well I hit the like button before the video started and I'm already subscribed so I guess I'll just have ta fly up an take y'all out for dinner again 😀 Realty great video Reon and Awesome job !!!! That was a beast of an Ash and under 2 hrs... just Wow !!!

Really impressed that you build your guys up while they work. You're a good boss, great work, thanks.
I’ve been wanting to get some of your crane slings for a while now. Might just have to pull the trigger. What is the Nick Taylor balancer and where can you buy one?
His balancer setup just consist of an endless loop sling folded in half with both of my slings hanging from either side. (Lift all brand)
Mr. Rounds, Started to watch this video and when you said flight I thought you were headed to a pilot school or something.
you are my kind a loco on the glider man, wish I could do that.. ;-)
Fun video,, good luck to you...

need more of these Reon very interesting stuff ! keep it up
Awesome job bro! I like all ur content and ur boy is a beast too.
just awesome. i hope youll find an editor so we can enjoy more of your work reon!
What does this job cost?
Reon you are the man love your videos and knowledge
Would it have made any sense to leave the tree in place after removing about half of its height? I understand the customer gets what they want, but it seemed healthy as you got lower.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
Two things
1. Whats the reason for the first tree removal and cost ?
2. Cost for an impromptu removal on second job ?
Looks like a green ash with eab? Lots of sprouting from the eab gallery wounds that get in the way and are a pita. We have done many that size and much larger but have pretty much used up our supply of ash here. Last big one we did was with a 90 tonner with counterweights brought in on a tractor trailer. Very profitable if you can price in the crane properly. I once called W Coast Saw to see about saw mods and they said they don't do it. So I went to Rip Saw to do my 661. Did a great job.
