As a master bootfitter (35 years) with Pes Cavus, EEE (L) EEEE (R) this boot is saving the sport for me. An extra bonus is that it can provide enough room for an aftermarket footbed, whereas it is impossible for me to get into a 100 last boot with even the lowest volume foootbed types without driving my Navicular into the overlap... even with aggressive boot board grinding. If you have big, thick, heavy feet and require a stiff high-performance boot; this is your ticket to Nirvana.
Are those boots lower volume than Atomic Hawx Magna? I have really wide feet (110mm+) but it seems that my other foot - lower leg dimensions are not large enough to fill those Atomics. I used Technica Mach1 120 MV briefly, but despite heat molding and some punching even it kept crushing my forefoot and mid foot areas...
They're classified as the same in terms of width at 102 mm, but I'd say the Atomic is more roomy throughout, especially in the instep. The Tecnica, though, feels like a more polished product than the Atomic.
As far as we can tell, it's just a bigger actual mechanism in the wider boot, which makes sense as a wider boot is going to be more susceptible to twisting or not flexing correctly. The bigger pivot mechanism essentially eliminates that potential. There's not really any difference in performance, it's just an engineering thing.

Thanks for the feedback and input!

@3:25 Can you explain what you mean by the "bigger pivot" compared to the MV?

Gotcha, thanks!
these are real skiboots. it is cool
Do you guys sell this?
Yup! I don't believe we had it in stock when this video went up, but we should have it now, or at least very soon.
