    Do you need 2 PoE ports or just one? The video bar has a power supply so I wouldn't think PoE is required there.

    Thanks, great video! Question, when setting up in MTR Android, how does the near-end present content? And what if that room is used mostly for local presentations, would they need to always use the Poly as a conduit to the display (if they are connected to the hdmi input) or would you have a discrete input directly to the display for that purpose?
    Thanks!

    I have a MacBook Pro (M1), a Cadyce (CA-CDPRO) docking station, a Dell Monitor (P2722HE) & Poly X30 (with TCA).
    My goal is to have just one display (Dell as primary and Mac can be kept in flap down mode) & to use the X30. I do not have a dedicated PoE switch. However, I have one LAN Port on the Dock. How best to connect these systems to talk to each other? I guess the most important question is, the LAN Cable from the TCA - Where does that go to? I have Wi-FI (no router in the room I am trying to setup this Zoom room in).
    Thank you!

    My teams room automatically mutes itself. If you join a meeting its muted. If someone calls the room and you answer its muted. The best part of it is if someone else joins the meeting it mutes itself too, what kind of feature is this? Like what the hell. Is there an option somewhere to turn this off? I can't find anything.

    How is it possible to invite the room? When I invite persons to a meeting, they have to accept the invitation. Do I have to accept all meetings with my teams-room so that they are shown up on the screen? Or is is possible that the room accepts the invitations automaticlly?

      Hi Jannik, thank you for the question. As long as the Room System is set up with a Teams account, it should automatically accept the meetings. It only won't if a) the Room is already booked for that time or b) you are trying to schedule an indefinitely recurring meeting in the room.

    Poly should provide step by step instructions for setting up the Microsoft Teams rooms account. Every video or document makes it look like this is easy and the user just needs to just log into a Teams room account and its easy but there are at least four steps involved and Microsoft does not offer complete instructions. Some Microsoft learn articles say the devices need to be added to intune, some say it just needs to be a resource account, some say they need a teams pro license some say a basic license in sufficient and some say the configuration is in Microsoft Team's admin center and some say the settings are all in PowerShell. It is very frustrating.

    Can't sign in to teams for the life of me. Keeps asking to refresh for code but just does the same when you click it.
    Ports are open and license is already assigned. These things suck for the cost.. They also unoair from the tc8 every day! Which they've acknowledged that they're working on patching it with their upcoming firmware updates.
    Sending this trash back.

    Does the Poly need to have its own Teams account?

    • @basementx
      @basementx 2 года назад

      Yes, so when scheduling they invite the account the bar is signed into or the "room"

      Hi CJ - As Luis noted, yes the Room System will need to be logged in to its own Microsoft account.

      Hi Eli, the X50 does not currently support Google Meet. It is Microsoft Teams and Zoom certified, and has support for BlueJeans, Dialpad, GoToRoom, RingCentral and StarLeaf.

    can you stream with this?

    • @ApexEmpowers
      @ApexEmpowers  2 года назад

      Hi Daniel - Can you clarify what you mean by "stream"? Microsoft has capabilities with Webinars and Live Events that can be streamed via Teams, Microsoft Stream, or externally in some scenarios and the Room System can be invited as a presenter in these scenarios.
