I do fix face id everyday 3-6 phones and my experience is original front camera is part of f id functionality so that camera you replaced shouldn’t work!!! Correct me if I’m wrong

Ok so I have the same issue says problem with TrueDepth camera Face ID is disabled. It’s the genuine apple speaker/sensor module and genuine ir/front camera and the front camera works but the Face ID is not working. The screen is 3rd party . Would it need to original screen or would the problem just lie with the camera
I don’t really understand how when the new camera is plugged in it didn’t work. but when you cut the old one out and put the same new one it, it now works… I’m confused did I miss something?

Looks like he keeps the existing IR camera parts of the module so face ID still works, but just replaces the front camera
@@asderferjerkel The thing though is that during he testing of the new one (prior to the camera swap) the remaining of the module was still attached to the board. In other words, it appears to be no difference in the final module connections from before and after the swap.
Thats the same thing that I said it appera to me that they have all the connections on the board the only one that wasnt was the new front camera flex, and I see that face ID didt work have any of guys tried this?
What is that tool that holds the camera

Hi, first of all thanks for the video and how well you explained it.
I have a little problem, I followed all your steps and for some reason after finishing the repair I get the "Face ID is not available. Try again later".
I've tried every solution I've found in the internet: cleaning camera, trudepth and dot sensors, reseting face id, reseting the iPhone, updating it, even reinstalling the firmware, but nothing works.
However, it is a little bit strange because after reseting or reinstalling the firmware, the first time when I'm setting the face id everything works and after that if I try to use it, it doesn't work, and if i reset it and try to set it again it doesn't work.
I don't know what may be happening but I would aprreciate very much your help or any other's.

Does this mean replacing the entire module will disable faceid from working??
there is binding chip in dot projector and proximity sensor [which is attached to the ear speaker] if either 1 is damaged or replaced u have no face id. if u replace ear speaker flex it is more difficult repair to remove the tiny proximity sensor from the delicate flex and properly align and solder it to new flex

I dont understand the answer. If I take my phone to a mall kiosk and they replace the front camera with simple swap out of parts, will the FaceID work? Or is it an apple proprietary part? I replaced my battery in the mall. The phone % life left doesnt work any more as that is an apple battery specific feature.

They have allowed front camera swaps since the iPhone x. They would have done it already if that were the case.

how about the rear camera of the 12 pro max that doesnt work. how to fix it? flat cable is totally fine.
My iphone 11 pro max says “a problem has been detected with the truedepth camera. Go to Settings after you finish setting up your iPhone for more information.” I tested front camera an it is working well. What could be the problem? Thanks

How to find someone who does this kind of repair in the US? All the shops I've talked to say they don't do anything beyond swapping modular parts. Nothing like this. Without Face ID, my X is no better than my old 3GS for unlocking...

Basically if it's not a ground pad and you get near zero value you have an issue.
There are so many Chinese tools for schematics n diode value reading , I hope u get a suitable one
