    Lmfao 😂😂😂 really RPM!! 😂 It's a XMAXX 6 feet off the ground it's pretty normal for a Xmaxx. Hell they can jump way higher then that and 99.9% jump em higher. And if RPM is going to say that they legitimately have no business building parts for xmaxx's nor any basher at that... That's pretty low of em to be so shady n dirty.. dude I want buy anymore rpm either if they gonna act like babies because their junk breaks n say life time knowing damn good n well what the vehicle is n what it is designed for and then turning around and wanna act like that then they ain't worth it idc if their parts are cheap... I'll stick with Integy and hot racing ect.. more I think about it I wanna take my rpm arms off my arrmas n put my integy ones on em.

    I think it's important for RPM to take care of some of there products that have problems. Especially when it's you EARL, your sending out a hard message to RPM that if you don't like it, your subscribers won't either. Great job Earl 👏 and respect..

      Hi Jeff, thats just the thing, we all know if RPM knew who it was they would have treated Earl better.. but as long as I have been following this channel I've never seen Earl use his channel as leverage. That said I am sad rpm screwed the pooch on these carriers, all they have to do in my opinion is sell them with bolts 🔩 and nylocks @ $53 I am sure there's still some meat 🍖 on the bone 🤩BB

    • @earlmoorhead5555
      @earlmoorhead5555  3 года назад

      Yes I won’t use the channel to get a warranty claim passed as most ppl watching the channel wouldn’t be able to get a part covered due to the subscribe count or fallowing they have so I really just try and be a regular guy calling sad part was I just wanted it looked into as I had another unopened set to fix my rc cars but I knew it would just keep pulling out as the rear control arms do till a hing pin retainer is installed I really wish I could do the same to the hubs in the front but no way to nut and bolt it as the bearings sit where a nut need to go 👍👍💯💯💯

    Surprised they haven’t come up with a reinforced plastic with some kind of mesh built into the mold they use to make said parts, it’d make for some insane durability while still being super light and not allowing flex the rpm carriers suffer from

    Great content as always! Funny story about the Snap On truck I saw on your bench. I ran a shop in plano TX and my snap on guy also covered the traxxas store and they used his truck to laser scan & make the body for the models. They gave him I think 5 and he gave them to his best customers unfortunately I didn't get one but it was cool.

    So glad to see him calling a company out on warranty BS. I do love rpm and use and support their stuff ... except steering components. They cant do hubs for crap i went through 3 sets on my 2wd rustler basher and everything from splits to warping and screws pulling threads out. If you like rpm stick to their arms ive only broke one ever and it took full speed into a stop sign to do it

    Maaan the v5 rtr ain’t much better. I’m currently working on my v5 all 3 diffs. I have a gear grinding sound that comes and goes but I can’t find out which diff it’s coming from. It sounds like the rear so I just added shims to the rear diff. If that doesn’t work I’ll shim the rear output drive to bring it a lil further out. I cracked open the center diff and added more 20mil weight just to top it off from last time I put some in there. Today I’ll be looking at the front diff to see if it needs shims. If all this fails I’ll try shiming the sun gears and spider gears. If that fails I’m killing it with fire dammit! 😂

    I had the same problem. I drilled the pins through to the bearings and put a small 1mm nut in the retainer cap to hold it down in three of my X-Maxxs and they are holding up good. I run trenchers and a Max6/1100 combo in one of them and it gets some good air time. I also live in Canada and ran them all winter after this fix. Give it a shot maybe. Cheers 🇨🇦👈🤠

    So sad to hear RPM has chosen to die on a 2' hill*, (seems to me the pin pulling out is the only problem) Hat tip to Kevin Talbot I have all my rpm-replaced parts (CEN hinge pinned and never have problems). When I took my stock 6s- Xmaxx through the (8s power up kit) 4 years ago I soaked ALL the stock A arms in huge ziploc bags of WD40 for 3 days! Now that its just you and me Earl, nobody really reads 📚 this far, get over feeling hurt.. put the unbroken rpm hub carriers back on with some bolts and nylocks. Still loven your channel but I think we need to get mad at this tyrannical lockdown, not an already suffering California company trying to survive a rough year... maybe they dropped the ball this time but they really have replaced broken parts in the past that were 50-100' in the air before this all started 🤔BB

As for the world shut down rc has grown way bigger then ever expected do to the shutdown my local hobby store really grew and took on several new employees as ppl looked into a hobby to pass time it’s now slowing down again but this shut down did Rc a good thing as well as the medical field and cemeteries sad to say but I feel what your saying 🙏🙏💯💯I appreciate all the comments and support you give me and my family even tho we didn’t agree on this Matter 💯💯🤛🤛

    Just like you, Earl, I also like to give a company a shot or two. But, any company that goes our of their way to avoid taking responsibility for their crappy, faulty products, is a company no one should support. As you mentioned RPM's other products, especially their 1/8 scale line up, is good, but their 8S scale stuff so far, is not up to part.

    Earl, I’ve been doing a lot of builds. All my Arrma bearings get loose after a few runs. I’m putting upgraded bearings on the diffs and pinion. I also wonder if the plastic housings flex and cause stripped gears on big landings. My Mojave I put new front and rear diffs in and noticed all bearings have slop in them. Frustrating!!!!!

    It's a mean rig brother can't wait to see her when your completely done building her up. I know it sucks having to keep pulling em apart n spending your hard earned money on em weekly almost considering they cost alot to begin with it. I love my Arrma bashers they are so fun lol. But I got into trail trucks now. Reason being is the realistic look of em. The scale super swampers tsl tires and the Swamper boggers ect they look amazing. And the axles and drive shafts. look real. So now I bought a team associated element Enduro Trail walker from hobbytown online which hobby town is prob 30 mins down the road n they sent it to me from there so it was same day. And my 2nd one took 2 days lol. And I'm alot like you when it comes to RCs and wanna build em to the best of their abilities like over sized motors and ESC's lol. Expensive parts custom parts ect. So I'm turning one into a sleeper truck. Big brushless motor n esc going into it tomorrow. So deff can't wait to do that lol

    That sucks RPM would not help you out at all. I have the RPM carriers on the front and rear and have not had any issues. I did upgrade to threaded hinge pins when I did the carriers and the RPM arms so I think that is a must do. Kevin Talbot even mentions them several times in his Xmaxx vids that it keeps the pins from pulling out and the carriers/arms from breaking not nearly as often. Only issues I have had with my Xmaxx was the cheap ass gears and I have broke 2 shock caps as well. Castle MMX8S with a 1717 1260 kv motor. Fast as hell! 👌
