thank you very much for clear explanation of base principles of building DB in data catalogue (non physical DB). After your video I was able to create DB, crawler and put data I need for notebook into destination data catalogue DB
Thank you very helpful tutorial to quickly start on Glue.If possible can you make a video on parameterization of values like 1 job's output will be the input of next job with incremental loading.
Keep going brother!! It's really helpful for people like me who want practical demonstration of aws services. Please make a video on Amazon sagemaker🙏🏻
When I use csv file with commas in between field values like description value "Contains payments, refunds & fines" Only is loaded into column description and remaining part goes into another column. I hope you should have faced this
Hello brother , I need some information. I wrote here In general how batch jobs work like informatica workflows. migrating Informatica workflows and sql jobs from Oracle to Postgres using Aws lambda glue s3 dms . Can u explain please -TIA
Hi, there's a sample customers csv file in another tutorial that I used and it worked great here too. It's the github link in the description of the Johnny Chivers video named "AWS Glue Tutorial for Beginners" if you want to take a look.
It is kind of another layer to represent your data in your way. It makes your data structure independent from the sources, kind of dynamic mapping. If you see traditional way, you have to map columns to attribute/object in Java/other languages. If you change something you have to modify code for most of all layer to accommodate it. Now it is more easy to map without worrying about the change of structure in future.

How to migrate the Glue version from lower to higher. Example 1.0 to 4.0
can you upload the sample data as well please?
Sir, What if the schema of data changes in the s3.? Is there a chance of data corruption ? What could be the causes of data corruption?
you would need to reschedule the crawler to run again. in some instances the crawler runs daily as scheduled task, and updates the catalog.
@@homerSImpsonss Thank you sir!
can you share that customer CSV file ?
Can you make video on aws quick sites
Will do!

why do we need to create folders inside folders in S3?
not necessary.
That’s just for partitioning the data to optimise the query performance if you are querying the data using Athena! Totally optional
Can we say Glue Data Catalogs are nothing but logical indexes created on your actual data?
