A higher hitch to the tractor could have helped, but the tractor would probably have needed some more weight on the front to get the most out of it. The lorries drive axle was buried quite deep, it looked like it was up to the wheel centre on the drivers side. I'm guessing that lorries 20-30 tonnes and so it would need something like a 10-15 tonne pull to get it out. Not sure what the fastrac weighs, so guessing about 7 tonnes and without any significant weight transfer it's only going to have a drawbar pull of about 5-8 tonnes depending on ground conditions. That ground looked a little softer than ideal so his drawbar pull would have been at the lower end. When you do the numbers that was great tractor driving.
Very well executed, nice and steady, no tank traps dug in the track. That is a lot of dead weight to pull even with a beast like that, the truck couldn't help much with one driving axle, well done chaps!!
Who needs international rescue when George is at hand. so looking forward to seeing the duals all round on the mighty blue thats going to be a treat. and that truck came from my neck of the woods, well about 20 miles away. great video buddy F.A.B.
that JCB has fantastic wiper coverage compared to our john deere's and new holland, it's the little things that can make operating a pleasure rather than a pain in the arse
Where would be without tractors. WELL STUCK!!! 😮. Thank goodness for these things to be in our lives. & not just for farmers. But, for unfortunate situations such as these. The tractor is a POWERFUL machine that can be a pain & nuicance to some motorists. But, most of would agree we would be lost without them. 😉
Very good little engine in these. Same 6.7 as found in the Enviro 400 and DAF LF truck. Not sure if they replaced the old 5.9 6BT? We had one of these 6.7 Euro 5 motors in a small 2012 Iveco midi coach. Sounded the same! Brilliant engine though they are very torquey and powerful to drive. Just watch splitting or bursting radiator hoses on the 6.7.
Good day. question did you film it how you built the flash in the grill? . otherwise like a link to this video. for now continue with the movies I like to watch. with kind regards Hollandduck from Terneuzen in the Netherlands ( source of translation : Google Trenslate )
Nice video George! Did you use chain to pull that truck? If it is chain you could shorten it, to have more pulling power, you risk getting stuck to but it is much harder to stuck with tractor. Cheers!
You would have found it easier I'm sure if you had a different tread on the tyre? The way that tread scoops inwards you're losing at least half your tread width. And some weight on the front would have helped
I assumed it would be a breeze for a large 4x4 tractor with lots of weight, power, torque and grip and low gear ratios. I can't believe the truck made it that far unassisted.
Hmm ! thought 8250 would've walked that right out !! £100,000 and it still aint Man enough !!. 20 Grands worth of CAT D6 = Job Done and affordable for life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha !!!!!!Frickin Fastrac !!!!!!!!! Wouldnt pull the Skin of a Rice Puddn!, Would it Puddn Head - WERE YOU DRIVING !!!. GET A CAT D6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mby JCB are good stuff for transport, but to do all hard farm things it sucks... Random Puma cvx could pull that lorry better and faster, idk why i wouldn't trust for JCB in farming...

Can't wondering why a single axle drive is out there with such a load in such weather with such tires.

County 1174 -The Only tractor which could have pulled it out in one pull
Lancaster730 i think a case quadtrac 620 would have made it too, but if you want a quadtrac you must win the lottery

The wheels of the tractor are so clean that it looks like it rolled right off the showroom floor. You sure this isn't a 'made to be viral' video?
+Gunner Miller cause its raining ?
Some plant owners are very proud of their assets & I guess he cleans it.
Yeah and rain doesnt exists on the roads
a logging truck with out diff lock no way ??
dieseltrainfreek
dieseltrainfreek a single drive w a lazy axle.......?🇳🇿
Tрактор jcb 8250 много мощен надежден динамичен и здрав
I assumed it would be a breeze for a large 4x4 tractor with lots of weight, power, torque and grip and low gear ratios. I can't believe the truck made it that far unassisted.
Part of the reason is that's a Scania, and Scania trucks always use a V8 diesel.
Why the hell didn't haul out the rigid first then come back and haul the trailer out on its own??????
That's what he did??
He clearly did that
was that your Volvo I saw on the rushton side of Bedford on sataday
im a farmer i sugest u get a fendt t349 very good tractor
Sure you are, youngin... You cant even spell *suggest and *you
+Farmer Ash youngin is not even a word....

what's a single drive truck tractor doing in the woods ,and that farm tractor is SICK !
Wagon and drag on timber! Seriously! Scanias a crap anyway but I'd never take wagon and drag in to a forest!
How are Scania crap??
they haven't changed since 2004 when the P series came out. They STILL look the same. The gearboxes are awful and they're not comfortable or reliable.
Theweescot They have just released the new S series and it hasn't changed?
Still looks the same as all the rest since 2004!
Nope. You're definitely blind

The JCB Fastrac 8250 has 50hp and allmost 300nm of torque more than the Fendt 820. The Fendt wouldn't stand a chance

Vidas, Sell the Scania and buy a Fastrac!
And then you need to purchase a dolly to haul trailers.
Typical brits.....Lorry and trailer in std brit weather......Luck to ya boys....
Typical Scania's always getting stuck
