This was a hit during my first ever trip to Paris as a 16 year old: it was a time before mobile phones, the internet, when you had to buy French francs from a bank before even arriving. I practiced my schoolboy French at street cafes, had my portrait painted in Montmartre and flirted with beautiful French girls who were far too sophisticated for me. Unforgettable happiness. I went back again last month, 33 years later and almost cried at the way it's changed....

What a great story. In what perception does time have changed in your opinion? Im now 21 and I like 80s and 90s music the most so I wished I lived in the 80s as a 21 year old.
@@dylandr2356 Everything about time, then and now, has changed. Obviously technology is the greatest change, but time it's self has changed, by that I mean, a year now last 6 months compared with back then, and for me, my 20's was the best time ever. So as someone who is 21 now, enjoy every minute of it, do everything your finances allows. Live, love and most of all, enjoy. Good luck to you .
I visited Paris in '89 and '04, and I remembered this fun song while enjoying the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. I haven't actually heard the song in nearly 30 years, and now it brings up pleasant memories of those visits. I had never seen the video till just now, and I'd long forgotten the artist's name, but for some reason the song always reminded me of Paris. Now I see why!
This soon-to-turn-50 year old was a mere 16 and just leaving school in 1983 - and he went on to have a relationship with his own beautiful French student, Florence Allix, just 3 years later. How bittersweet to look back 33 years at all those beautiful women from an era long lost, the younger of whom will likely be grandmothers now - the more mature of whom may no longer even be with us. What a different world it was back then. It was my world. And I pine after it the ever further it distances itself from the harsher, less forgiving, more complicated world that I know today. I suppose it's got to be better than the alternative....................but getting old really sucks!!
Well said. It's tempting to look back on those times through rose tinted glasses, simply because we were young then, but even allowing for that they did seem to be better. I think it's because then the world seemed to be getting better, and the mood was optimistic, whereas now it feels like we lurch from crisis to crisis while managing our decline. In other words, I miss those days too.
Exactly! I try to explain that to people all the time. We did not have news instantaneously via our mobile phones! Same shitty world back then as now! But we had to wait for the national or local news to find out what was going on. Or listen to AM radio and wait for their news reports. But you are spot on with your comment!
The good old day's when we knew what a woman was and the music was so good. People of today may not believe us but we could have a laugh with out offending anyone. HELP I NEED A TIME MACHINE 🤣🤣

bro technology didn't start bullying. also the 80's were a shit time Aids out the start of the war in the middle east rise in drug related crimes and death. the only good thing to come out of the 80s was the music. but social media and tech didn't start bullying people have always judged.

I love 80's music, but i'd never heard this before until it was on the radio the other day. What a tune
The arrangement, the lyrics... the memories involved! We were young, but most of all we were rich y we didn't know!
How true !!!
Well Ryan Paris. I've played this Track Dozens of times like now again, & I'll keep on playing it for some time yet ,😊.
This song reminds me of the days of fun at the South Coast where I spent my school days!
I foolishly overlooked this at the time, thinking it was un-cool Eurotrash.....Now I appreciate it - great tune and a great vid, evokes great memories of summer holidays in the 1980s....
Man I grew up with this song and many others in the 80s, this song reminds me of all the good times in life!
Me too!
First heard this while on holiday in Lloret de Mar, Spain,, in 1983, when I was 21. A friend and myself met to lovely girls from Bournemouth. Had a great time, but where have all the years gone.
What a great story. In what perception does time have changed in your opinion?
Im now 21 and I like 80s and 90s music the most so I wished I lived in the 80s as a 21 year old.

Everything about time, then and now, has changed.
@@trytellingthetruth.2068 wow that is well said!
Memories of '83 back in Zaragoza Spain, bought this album at the El Corte Inglés all those years ago! My folks were stationed at ZAB back then.
Nothing much better than 80's music YEAH! =)
A top top holiday tune, you hear this and you want to dance, a classic !
Lets make this No 1 again in the UK. What a tune for the Summer and Eurovision.
Again? It was never Number one in the UK.
@@Raider577 It was number one on Chorley FM on That Peter Kay Thing.
I feel the same way
beautifully said and i feel the same way
Well said , but this was recorded at the very peak of the Cold War and stuff like this only helped release some of that tension
Exactly! I try to explain that to people all the time. We did not have news instantaneously via our mobile phones! Same shitty world back then as now! But we had to wait for the national or local news to find out what was going on. Or listen to AM radio and wait for their news reports. But you are spot on with your comment!
Who’s not embarrassed to admit how much they love this? Was 13 when it was released, happy happy days 😘😘
xD
Listening october 2019,takes me back to a wonderful time.
September 2022...still listening "dolce vita"... Proud to be italian 🇮🇹😀 #italodisco
Greetings from Uruguay
I love how on RUclips, I can find rare music like this! Gratia!
It has 14 million views, I don't think this qualifies as rare.
Furthermore it's grazie, not gratia.
Although I got here through youtube algorithms as well. So thanks programmers!
The good old day's when we knew what a woman was and the music was so good. People of today may not believe us but we could have a laugh with out offending anyone. HELP I NEED A TIME MACHINE 🤣🤣
need a time machine
Brings back good memories from the 80`s, best decade ever!
No me canso de escucharla,me trae tantos recuerdos bonitos
Es muy bonita. Una maravilla ❤️💜
One of the best Italo Disco songs ever made!
When I was 11 we were In Spain and this was blasting everywhere. Now 30 years on its still a cracking tune
The hot summer of 1983
This song takes me back to the time when I 20 and things were a lot easier and layed back. The good times.
finally! my dad was always playing this song, when I was little, but I never knew the name! luckily, a radio station played this song this week and I recorded it. tnx shazam :))
One of those songs you heard as a child but never knew its name
Summer fiesta nights in 80s Spanish villages - this music was everywhere!
Música muito agradável, me faz viajar no tempo, na França de décadas atrás.
One of my favorite Italo disco songs. Ryan Paris's great hit. I guess they could have filmed the video in Rome, but chose Paris instead.
"I guess I wasn't born in the 80s either so I guess I'm just some fucking poser and a huge piece of shit." - Mac Demarco
God bless.
Villa Garbi Hotel ,Lorett De Mar 1983...wow ! This song brings it all back. As do Blue Monday and Baby Jane... great memories. What happened to the world ?👍🇬🇧✌️
Had this song bookmarked and got lost for 2 years, Now I finally found it Yay
Ryan Paris (born Fabio Roscioli) is an Italian musician who gained international popularity in 1983 for the worldwide hit single "Dolce Vita".

+Gary Hunt ~ Mark's right: it was released in 1983 (October)...
+Gary Hunt Recorded Studio Titania, Rome
January 1983
I'm disappointed that he felt the need to change his name
Straight from Wikipedia there dude!Well done.
So glad I was 16 when this song came out . no social media no one judging you . I kind of feel for the youth of to day . when I look back the 80s was special it really was unique and I feel stands out in history when it comes to music . The thing is I did not appreciate it but oh my I do now lol
bro technology didn't start bullying. also the 80's were a shit time Aids out the start of the war in the middle east rise in drug related crimes and death. the only good thing to come out of the 80s was the music. but social media and tech didn't start bullying people have always judged.
also not to mention all the crazy stupid homophobia and racism that was still heavily around. obviously its still around but it was far more widely accepted @brian M
who listening in 2019 this magic song?!!!
me
Every years again
Every week for me, more or less, it's a happy song for a Friday night.
Me and in 20..
Again...
Me too....Memories..
Remember this back in 1983 still a great song 40 years later
Forget about troubles, it's 80s music, it's 80 videoclip, it's 80s mood. Give yourself a break, turn the tune up dance.
The 80 The best times!

+Apple_Marty Czech I actually did that. And guess what, I really needed that! thx
We're walking like in a dolce vita
This time we got it right
We're living like in a dolce vita
Mmm, gonna dream tonight
We're dancing like in a dolce vita
With lights and music on
Our love is made in the dolce vita
Nobody else than you
It's our last night together with our love again
Another light before we drown in darkness
Say you'll never leave me now
Say you're gonna love me now
We made it down in the dolce vita
Wipe all your fears away
We'll live it like in a dolce vita
A game of yesterday
I'm so alone in a dolce vita
Oh baby, telephone
This magic's gone in a dolce vita
Nobody else than you
It's our last night together with our love again
Another light before we drown in darkness
Say you'll never leave me now
Say you're gonna love me
It's our last night together with our love again
Another light before we drown in darkness
Say you'll never leave me now
Say you're gonna love me now
We're walking like in a dolce vita
Mmm, gonna dream tonight
We're dancing like in a dolce vita
Nobody else than you
It's our last night together with our love again
Another light before we drown in darkness
Say you'll never leave me now
Say you're gonna love me
It's our last night together with our love again
Another light before we drown in darkness
nice lyrics....
GRACIAS FOR LYRICS...!!!
meaningless, repetitive and silly now but at the time it was life!
@@brettlewis575 genau so!
Only now I unterstood he says "it's our last night"
All english native speakers unterstood loud and clear ??
80's were the best years in my opinion. We were with friends, long talks, walks, cafes, instead of the prisoners of the computers and iPhones!
This song is a masterpiece !
This guys is the combination of James Franco with Jason Segel and Bill Murray
Abram Hernandez on point
+Abram Hernandez Looks more like Julian McMahon to me ...
I was definitely thinking Jason Segel ala Forgetting Sarah Silverman! But I can see Franco with that hair. I wouldn't agree with Murray though, more Tom Hanks in Big or Jim Carrey as Andy Kaufman.
Abram Hernandez hell yeah
