I’m pretty sure Professor Pac isn’t the mayor, he’s Pac-Man’s father in law and former defender of Pac-Land before he passed the torch down to Pac.

@@Aflay1 some sonic water levels were amazing like water palace in sonic rush and aquarium park in sonic colors
There's very little you can do to speed up that level
And yet, the yellow pac submarine is still the drag of each speedrun.

Holy cow, just too much to comment on here. Had to watch a couple of levels like three times just to really soak in how glorious the strats were. Favorite level was Avalanche Alley for obvious reasons. Well done mate, time well spent if you ask me!

Avalanche alley? I saw no avalanche all 2 minutes of the level. I think the appropriate name for the level would be a simple "alley"
9:41 and 10:30 are two of my favorite parts from that level
my favorite was butane pain, b-doing woods, blade mountain, and i think volcanic panic.

I heard that they switched the names because clyde is the "cool" name and red is the "cool" color, to make it more appealing

To see one of my favorite games torn apart so easily, even with tool assistance, is both incredibly shameful since I had so much trouble in various parts of the game, and incredibly satisfying to see that its theoretically possible to beat the game in 40 minutes.

Holy crap. That Volcanic Panic one impressed me.
The movement precision- I mean, perfection in this is stunning to me. Also, those two Volcano levels where you just fall into the void were crazy. Good job.
Who the hell thought Yellow Pac-Marine (23:45) was a good idea? Just under 8 minutes of the same shit (literally looks like it's copied and pasted over and over). And then they made a boss based on it too. Thank god that was over in under a minute.
Rant over, was an awesome TAS to watch and entertaining too! Great job!

The tricks you pulled at the end to both solve Ghost Bayou’s maze so fast as well as spawning with Spooky reeked of sheer brilliance!

the wood levels were so hard! they're a maze, i ended up just kept on going back to the same place over and over again in treewood forest. but the music for butane pain was great.

Great game from my childhood. Gone through it a dozen times, but never like this. And I thought I used to cringe when I'd make the jumps the way the game intended you to. Speedrunners have a skill I could never hope to achieve. Awesome run!
This is a tool assisted speedrun (TAS). Meaning he uses save states (illegally saving at various points mid-level) in order to create an optimal run.
Dude...those shortcuts in those two volcano levels looked like the hardest things to get right

I remember playing this game when I was a kid. I had the Xbox version. One day during a move from one house to another, I lost the game. And then in 2019, one of my grandmother's friends' sons was giving away a game disc holder full of games that he didn't play anymore. And for the Playstation, this game was in there.
I went home and pulled out my PS2, a Dualshock controller, a nice comfy chair, and a bottle of Dr. Pepper. I began messing with the RCA cables trying to get the screen to show the idle PS2 menu screen. After 15 minutes, the TV finally showed the menu screen and I backed away slowly, so as to not disturb the fragile connection I had finally achieved.
I put the game in my PS2, praying that it still worked. I sat there, staring at my own reflection in the black screen, listening to the console making noises, reading the disc. I could hear the TV making a faint buzzing noise because one of the RCA cables was ever so slightly out of place, but I didn't want to try jiggling it and fighting with it for another 15 minutes trying to get the video to go through.
And then I heard it. And by "it" I mean nothing. The console stopped trying to read the disc. It sat there in silence, and the screen was still pitch black. A wave of defeat washed over me, and I lowered my head into my lap. I dropped the controller, and sat there. If I'm being honest, I was a grown man, sitting in front of a TV, head in his lap, fighting back tears because a video game wasn't working.
With my head buried in my lap, I sat there in silence. Until I heard the Namco startup sound. Before the second note played, I shot my head up so fast that my peripherals faded to dark colors, and I felt lightheaded. I thought I was hearing things at first. But I saw the Namco logo right there on the screen. I wiped my eyes, and picked the controller back up. I then put it back down in my lap as I watched the opening cinematic. I created a new save file, and for the next two hours, nostalgia hit me over and over like a boxer using a speed bag. I had never been so happy to play a video game
