they are LEDs so they appear on video as flashing... like a computer screen.

LED lights actually blink on and off many times a second -- your eye can't see it but due to the rolling shutter on a camera, they can. In short, it's completely normal.

I don't know if I would call it a battle. Mike looked way faster in just about every set of corners. Barber is hard to pass. I would assume after the video you gapped the Brumos car in a few laps.
