How do you deal with the gap between the plate and the sides of the enclosure if it like 2"

Question for ya! We have a crossfire double tree burner with plate dimensions of 29×17. We are designing our enclosure but the manual doesn't give recommend specs. Are there minimum dimensions that the base of the enclosure should be (i.e. distance of walls from the plate)? We know our top size but aren't sure if there is recommend specs for the base. Thanks so much! Love your videos. Super helpful!

Hey Jonathan, thanks so much for the great videos. I've watched a ton of your videos and you were a blessing this August when I built my firepit. I ended up buying all warming trends stuff from a local shop that works directly with warming trends. The flames are so much higher than other firepits I've seen or sat around and for me that was exactly what I wanted. My question for you, and this question has a lot of different answers on the internet . . . is it safe to roast marshallows and make smores with a propane firepit? Some people say of course, others say no, but in my head I think well if it is safe to eat food off of a propane grill why wouldn't it be safe to eat marshmallows that are melted on a propane firepit. This is where I would normally just go with it, but it does look like the marshmallows are a grayish color after roasting them which made me reach out to you. Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated man.

    You said nothing about venting.
