Agnetha sang this so beautifully. Cilla Black’s phrasing was all over the place. Talk about right time, right place. Cilla wasn’t a particularly good singer and her version of this classic proves it. Dionne Warwick hated her because Cilla Black managed to record a version of every Burt Bacharach song he wrote for Dionne Warwick and get it released in the UK before Warwick’s version was released.

Bacharach personally asked Cilla to record Dionne's Anyone Who Had a Heart because he wanted a British singer to make it a hit on British radio and it out sold Dionnes version and then Dionne blew a head gasket over it. Beyond that, what 1960's artist didn't cover Bacharachs songs ? Dionne Warwick is well known for her intense hatred toward other singers.

Even at my age Agnetha was beautiful and even at 72 which she is now she is still gorgeous , pretty Agnetha Faltskog . !!!! I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, or if I just have a false memory, but I think Cilla Black was on the Apple label at some point. I know one of the girl singers from the 60s was on there, just can't remember who for sure.
