A lot of people collect carnival glass so I think it’s definitely worth some money. I used to collect it and would buy a lot from thrift stores because it was cheaper. The antique stores would charge over $100 for that bowl.
The blue bowl is carnival glass. It is beautiful. My grandmother had that same bowl. Always on her coffee table. Think my aunt's kid took it when she died. She owned an antique shop. The headboard is pretty. Would make a cute trellis. Bye Mav. Your kids are angels. Really good kids. You found a treasure chest of want nots. Shame that all would have landed in the land field. So, you saved it. Peace!
I am 71 and grew up using Collier's Encyclopedias in our home. I was an avid reader and especially loved those anthology type books with different stories in them. Love the ceramic ducks too!! And the carnival glass bowl. You have some great treasures there!!
Ooooo! That glass thingy would make a great miniature terrarium project for Belle!! And I am always impressed with how well behaved Maverick in on the mobile home job site!
Oh my gosh California raisins what memories. We would sing and dance to that song over and over. Great memories. As always y'all are doing a great job. ❤ from Kentucky
Working with that aluminum reminds me of a story my Grandfather told. During the Great Depression he would walk into town from his farm looking for work. Sometimes he walked his two mules with him and did paving and grading work. And then he had to walk home at night! But this story was about the really big, tall grainery buildings they were building beside the railroad. He was a farmer/carpenter so he got a job to work way up on that grainery to help put the roof on. I would never have been able to work up that high! They were putting a tin roof on. His piece started to slide and he grabbed it with his bare hands and sliced his hand to the bone. Better that than have it fall on someone below or have to climb down and back up. He just wrapped it with a handkerchief and kept working. My Grandma made his nail aprons. I have one. He liked to wear it on his chest so she made it like a vest with a pocket.
Well you know the saying, "one mans trash is another mans treasure! Nice haul. I stopped at a pile a few years back full of fishing gear. Asked the lady if she was getting rid of it, and she said take that and what's left in garage. Got home and figured I got more or less 1500.00 worth of rods reels and tackle, most still in boxes, never used!!
I love ALL of the roadside finds. Florida has been good for your family. I love the laughter especially from Ashley. As always, I love the work you all do.
Ashlie, i love to hear you laugh. I wish i had it as my ring tone. Its just sweet. Makes me happy everytime i hear you laugh. And Mavericks bye does me the same way. I just love you guys! All of you.....
The blue dish is called carnival glass it also comes in a different color which is golden in color. I think they called it carnival glass because you could win it at a carnival, but I'm no expert so if anyone has more knowledge please let us all know. Some of those could be displayed in the Barrister's Bookcase. Making good progress on the renovation, keep it up. 😀✌❤
A lot of the little trinkets that have Japan on them are pretty old. My parents and grandparents had lots of those little things in their homes. Also, the blue dish that Belle likes is carnival glass and could be worth a few dollars. Very pretty
that Cerimic flower you found is a Lucite Magnolia, my ex had a set of 3 of them, she sold them in a yard sale, and they brought about $50.00 each, good find!
The glass fruit bowl is 1970s Carnival Glass. Mine was bought back then but I have been collecting the antique carnival glass for nigh on 60 years - have a room devoted to it. Knick-knacks marked Japan tend to be vintage and some are quite desirable.
I know my first comment wasn't the best a while back. Hats off to you guys for taking this huge project on . Would love to donate some time or help out in some way.
Those wooden eggs can be painted by the kids for an Easter diy project then displayed in the glass cloche that you found on the dining room table. Put a little easter grass or moss from dollar tree on the bottom and the eggs sitting on top.
I love all the work and uodates on the mobile home. However, I'm still chomping at the bits to see the outside of your home come to a finish, too. Awesome progress, great work work, please keep posting. You are awesome.
Thank you for another great instructional segment. I enjoyed looking at your roadside haul. You’ve got some really cool things there. That beautiful blue glass bowl you have is called carnival glass and it’s a highly collectible. I’m sure you’ll be looking this up on the Internet and finding out more about each of your little treasures. Have a great day!
Doug if the fruit bowl is glass not plastic. it is called Carnival glass and your blue glass. I think is one of the rare so you might want to go to an antique shop and have that appraised.
Great video, love the roadside finds. I believe the items from Japan were made in the 50’s, after WWII they started manufacturing to get back on their feet. Some of your stuff is worth a little $. ❤
I love that you are still maintaining some of the “trailer aesthetic” if you will 😄 Mobile homes can be transformed into stick built looking homes, but I think embracing the trailer life with certain older homes is really fun as well! Gotta love free stuff. I went thrifting today and doing some great items at a clearance thrift store and Goodwill today.
The carnival glass fruit bowl is probably a collector piece. However, that flower is beautiful. I collect glass and ceramic flowers. I also, have a ceramic heron that looks like carved wood. I love those interesting pieces.
If that blue and purple bowl is glass and not plastic, that is a rare run of carnival glass. Usually it is yellow, amber, or gold hues. It's not really worth all that much more than regular, but it is pretty unique, and it is old and built better than modern glass. I was passed down the amber hues with the pretty rainbows inside from both grandparents and found a punch bowl and cup set I used at my wedding at a garage sale. It has served at numerous family events since. They will be passed down because they are loved by my kids.
Blue iridescent bowl is known as carnival glass. It was a cheap glass at the time but because it was cheap, people didn't often take care of them and now they are valuable. It's nice and thick, it's pretty and useful. I LOVE the ceramic magnolia blossom. After the War, "Made in Occupied Japan" was prominent cheap stuff. Again, because it was cheap, it didn't always get treated like things of value. But because of that and because it was just during a certain time of history, it's valuable stuff now. It was a way to build the country back up. After the occupation, "Made in Japan" was the "Made in China" cheap stuff of today. But it was usually well made and pretty stuff. It's certainly lasted longer than what you get today at Temu and Shein, LOL.
Hi family, Yayayaya good video, lots of good work at your mobile home! The haul was definitely awesome, my fave was the glass stand/globe And the ceramic ducks that looks wood. The bed board will look awesome also A lot of some cutsie little things. I love finding good stuff on the side of the road too! Good eye! Stay safe, and God Bless y’all! Hi Maverick and byeeeee! Hi Belle 💓
You can start an online account to sell your items. I rent spaces at Antique Malls to sell products. I enjoy selling items I repurpose, often the new creations are unique. Enjoyed the video today, as always. Karen, NC
This was a good haul from the side of the road. That port bottle is wine, don’t even think about tasting it. You should say goodbye to that bottle. Back to the build. You would think by now some engineers would come up with some new type of material for siding. Something more substantial to offer more protection for the homeowner. I know it’s only a mobile home but it is still a home. It should be just as light and easy to work with but dent and rust free and tough. Just sayin. Have a nice day guys.
The Japan stuff is old; the flower looks valuable; and the Carnival glass fruit bowl could be old, or it could be a reissue from the 1980s. I would not put those things outside until you check ebay to see the value of them. You found some good stuff.
The mobile home investment property would make a great office space/workshop and storage space, to house things you find that can be resold. You can clean them there, and package them without having the mess in your home..
I LOVE your free hauls! I’d love to see some “styling” results if you use any of it. That big flower was my favorite. 🌟Those wooden eggs can go in your chicken coop to encourage the hens where to lay! 😂 There is a vine flower I love to grow called “”Love-in-a-Puff.” It has little balloon blossoms like the “Chinese Lantern” orange ones. They look fantastic in arrangements. They need a trellis. I love re-imagined stuff like the headboard in a garden! It’s always so enchanting. (I also love to grow flowers and ‘filler’ plants that dry nicely for seasonal arrangements.)
Back in the 1950s when I was a kid (77 now) my parents bought a set of Collier's encyclopedias. Included in the package were ten volumes of what Collier's called "Junior Classics." The book you found on your way home was volume 8 of that set. I was a voracious reader then and I still remember some of the articles and stories that were in those books. Your kids will probably like them too. Cool videos. Stay after it.
Cute little figurines- the ones from Japan are older and more valuable, I guess you’ve already learned that.😃😃😃 Love the carnival glass bowl and the “cake topper”. 😊 Hope you do more roadside finds, very nice!
I love how you show that these trailers arent disposable and with some (or a lot) of hard work they can become livable again! Makes me want to see what I can find in my area
I used that mobile home siding on one side on my old mobile home, 3 days after it hailed and it was covered with dent's like someone had hit golf balls at it. I went to a local metal place and got 26ga sheet metal twice as thick half the cost.
I'm getting excited to see how the single wide trailer is going to turn out. I never would have guessed it could be repaired, but it's interesting to see you restore it one step at a time. I like seeing how the structural integrity is being increased. That will be a better quality trailer than when it was new.
Loving the Trailer Series! As a female with anxiety issues, I'd be sweeping the entire interior floor, wiping cobwebs, pulling out old staples, and cleaning the interior of the siding. 😂 Keep up the good work.
Another great renovation video; this just fascinates me. I’m so glad you stopped to rescue all those treasures. Someone was into crafting at that house. I love the bed headrest. Maverick 👋🏼♥️ As always be well, be blessed ❤
Wow what cool treasures, that carnival glass bowl is beautiful and could be worth some money. It’s neat to see what people have had and then don’t want anymore. You’re making great progress on the mobile home too! Good to see Maverick! 😊
Looks like a few of those pieces might be worth something especially the bowl. I think having Belle create an art garden with all the different figurines would look nice. I always liked finding throwaways on the side of the road. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hey guys! Look up the ducks and the bowl, cake topper. They may be worth something. You never can tell. HI Mav!!! Where ya been Buddy? God Bless, Love ya all. Granny
The blue bowl is Carnival glass, the brown bottle of Port is a high % alcohol wine, yours is a Japanese wine, high alcohol percentage. Love the mobile home progress. So excited for you all. Some of the shoe figures are collectible. I use goggle lens for price estimates. Have a great day and the best from west Michigan ❤
I have that exact blue glass fruit bowl, ( vintage Indiana glass garland blue carnival four footed large centerpiece), that was my Mothers. I have matching candle holders and glasses, ( sherbet/ dessert footed bowls), that have a stem. I also have the Indiana glass harvest wedding bowl, with lid.
I have that fruit bowl as well, mine is in brown tones. I found mine at our local goodwill store, bought it as it was exactly the kind of bowl my mom used to have when I was a kid.
The blue bowl is Indiana Glass. It's the blue harvest grape pattern. We have the whole set. It took us about 2 years to collect it all. Not incredibly valuable but pretty.
The iridescent glass bowl is called carnival glass because it used to be given as prizes at carnivals and fairs. People do collect it. It was made in Indiana.
If interested you could research the glass, china, etc pieces. You might experience a pleasant surprise. The blue bowl might be Carnival glass. That could be valuable. I am no expert but you could have possibly discovered a 'windfall profit'. The mobile home is proceeding nicely. Such teamwork is a joy to watch. Maverick is always so adorable. He is growing too fast!
The bowl maybe carnival Glass but more than likely it's India glass I have the exact same one they were from the 1970s. The fruit bowl you have is the most manufactured one than they have a taller kind of looks like the crystal dish from the Fancy feast commercial and the bigger and that same India blue color. Carnival Glass typically does not have a weighty bottom and it also does not have the iridescent quality on the underside. The metal oxide used in making carnival Glass (which was manufactured from the early 1900s to the mid 1920s) by today's date would have a rusty appearance to it. Carnival Glass became popular again in the 1970s when it was "reproduced". The advancements in production means they didn't have to use the metal oxides used in the original Carnival Glass which is why it's called India glass because of the indigo blue base color. India glass will also be iridescent but it will never get rusty because there are no actual metal oxides in the manufacturing and the iridescent quality is 100% around the entire piece. The only reason I know this is because my mother for many many moons collected both India glass and Carnival Glass so I have been immersed in the world for entirely too long.😂 Personally I prefer the India glass because you can drop them and they don't break near as easily as Carnival Glass. And Lord knows I'm going to dropping things lol
Have you guys thought about getting a dog/puppy for Bell and Maverick now your settled in your forever home? Even a kitten would be nice for the kids to love on between bedrooms. 😊
I know this is extra work for you to video while renovating but we really appreciate it.
Thanks!
Yes we do
That Carnival glass bowl you found might be worth a lot of money. My wife used to buy and sell glass on Ebay.
It's worth about $25 to $30.
A lot of people collect carnival glass so I think it’s definitely worth some money. I used to collect it and would buy a lot from thrift stores because it was cheaper. The antique stores would charge over $100 for that bowl.
Great finds! That’s awesome that people throw away good things that can be re-purposed….great job on the mobile home…😊❤❤
Most I found were listed between $30 -$50. Definitely worth checking value. Great find.
Love watching!!!!
That’s ceramic flower is a magnolia that is really pretty.
I think the blue glass fruit bowl your daughter found is what they call/consider carnival glass.
The blue bowl is carnival glass. It is beautiful. My grandmother had that same bowl. Always on her coffee table. Think my aunt's kid took it when she died. She owned an antique shop. It’s so great to see Ashley smile and laugh, her mental health has improved so much since moving to Florida. Keep up the good work.
I am 71 and grew up using Collier's Encyclopedias in our home. I was an avid reader and especially loved those anthology type books with different stories in them. Love the ceramic ducks too!! And the carnival glass bowl. You have some great treasures there!!
So much fun in digging through the haul items. Too bad Peter rabbit lost his ears - but he could have ducked…..
Ooooo! That glass thingy would make a great miniature terrarium project for Belle!! And I am always impressed with how well behaved Maverick in on the mobile home job site!
Maverick is a good, HANDSOME, and smart boy! A BLESSING AND A JOY!
Oh my gosh California raisins what memories. We would sing and dance to that song over and over. Great memories. As always y'all are doing a great job.
❤ from Kentucky
The blue bowl is worth a bit of money and the California raisin may be a collectors item. Look up those ducks too!

Love your sunny warm videos to get us through these dismal cold days in the north. Keep them coming!
That blue Carnival Glass is back from the 60s you might want to check that out because they're that's worth some money
That headboard is absolutely gorgeous! It's going to look amazing with trailing plants and flowers on it!!!
I'm really loving the frequent uploads!
Well you know the saying, "one mans trash is another mans treasure! Nice haul. I stopped at a pile a few years back full of fishing gear. That "ceramic flower thing" is a magnolia blossom. Very Florida 🙂
You should check on the stuff made in Japan.....usually can sell for a decent price.
I love ALL of the roadside finds. Florida has been good for your family. I love the laughter especially from Ashley. As always, I love the work you all do.

Yes, it is a collectible glass dish called Carnival. Easy to spot because of the iridescent colors. I think they were made in the 1940’s.
A lot of the little trinkets that have Japan on them are pretty old. My parents and grandparents had lots of those little things in their homes.
Also, the blue dish that Belle likes is carnival glass and could be worth a few dollars. Very pretty
Doug, I live in Maine. Someone was selling the same bookcase you found. They were asking $750. You scored big time.
that Cerimic flower you found is a Lucite Magnolia, my ex had a set of 3 of them, she sold them in a yard sale, and they brought about $50.00 each, good find!

Another mid-morning coffee break with you guys, I'm enjoying the uptick in videos, thank you!
Great haul, some things really nice. Maverick is growing up fast. All work is coming along well. 😊
Cool finds.. but my favorite is the carnival glass bowl… that’s a keeper.😊 you can make riser’s with the wooden balls .. y’all have plenty of wood 😊
Those 2 angels, you can put them on candles
Love the free finds- you just never know what some people will toss out. LOL
Good video guys! Doug you said it best shouldn’t get near the glass! The foundation of the trailer is looking good!
I know my first comment wasn't the best a while back. Hats off to you guys for taking this huge project on . Would love to donate some time or help out in some way.
No worries, we're glad you're enjoying it :)
Those wooden eggs can be painted by the kids for an Easter diy project then displayed in the glass cloche that you found on the dining room table. Put a little easter grass or moss from dollar tree on the bottom and the eggs sitting on top.
I use decorative metal bed posts for garen gates and for a garden bench back. Love the idea as a trellis
I love all the work and uodates on the mobile home. However, I'm still chomping at the bits to see the outside of your home come to a finish, too.

that blue bowl, if it is glass, is called carnival glass and can be valuable.
Fenton ware???
I had one of these in the 70's, got it from Kmart. It's imitation carnival glass.
This was a good haul from the side of the road. That port bottle is wine, don’t even think about tasting it. You should say goodbye to that bottle. Back to the build. haha, we don't drink any alcohol and definitely won't be tasting it! But the heart-shaped bottle is pretty neat. :D
Grandma had some nice antiques. Nice find.
If that aluminum awning is in good shape, keep it or sell it. They are worth money. Wow! What a great bunch of stuff you got for free!
The blue Carnival Glass that I just told you about we had that when I was a kid and it's worth a lot of money
The Japan stuff is old; the flower looks valuable; and the Carnival glass fruit bowl could be old, or it could be a reissue from the 1980s. I would not put those things outside until you check ebay to see the value of them. You found some good stuff.
Blue fruit bowl is carnival glass...nice find.
That fruit bowl is a keeper. Oh my goodness!
The mobile home investment property would make a great office space/workshop and storage space, to house things you find that can be resold. You can clean them there, and package them without having the mess in your home..
Loving the progress at the mobile home! I can’t believe how much Maverick has grown! Love hearing him say goodbye!❤
I LOVE your free hauls! I’d love to see some “styling” results if you use any of it. That big flower was my favorite. 🌟Those wooden eggs can go in your chicken coop to encourage the hens where to lay! 😂
There is a vine flower I love to grow called “”Love-in-a-Puff.” It has little balloon blossoms like the “Chinese Lantern” orange ones. They look fantastic in arrangements. They need a trellis. I love re-imagined stuff like the headboard in a garden! It’s always so enchanting.
(I also love to grow flowers and ‘filler’ plants that dry nicely for seasonal arrangements.)
I love the carnival glass bowl! I bet that’s worth some money! Keep it in your house - that was a great find, y’all! ❤
@18:40 the animal on top is a cat. It's vintage "Pur"fume from 1992
I love the headboard..it would look fantastic in a bedroom once it was restored.
Cute little figurines- the ones from Japan are older and more valuable, I guess you’ve already learned that.😃😃😃
Love the carnival glass bowl and the “cake topper”. 😊
Hope you do more roadside finds, very nice!
When we had a mobile home. We bought everything from a place called Broke and Poor. There is one in plant city florida and lakeland florida.
I'm getting excited to see how the single wide trailer is going to turn out. I never would have guessed it could be repaired, but it's interesting to see you restore it one step at a time. I like seeing how the structural integrity is being increased. That will be a better quality trailer than when it was new.
I love the "Side of the Road" free haul and great idea to use the head board as a trellis! SCORE!
Cool stuff. Belle has great taste.
Maverick 👋🏼♥️
As always be well, be blessed ❤
What a cool haul...the kids must love finding those treasures!
Maverick is getting so big I remember how little he was when you were doing the house foundation. Live the free finds!
Fun looking at the road finds!
I love your finds. You could donate what you don’t want to Goodwill.
Knick knacks for the garden?! I have a “rock garden” around my dogwood tree. I like finding doo dads to add to the rocks with my pets memorial stones.

Enjoyed watching another video of the trailer transformation.
Raisin guy! Heard it through the grapevine! 😊
The blue bowl is Indiana Glass. It's the blue harvest grape pattern. We have the whole set. It took us about 2 years to collect it all. Not incredibly valuable but pretty.
Such neat stuff y’all found! Free stuff is the best.
I didnt even know there was such a thing as Mobile home suply stores.
Love seeing all the rot going soon to be gone
Lookin good y’all! Awesome free haul! I’d be stalking that house 😂😂😂 love y’all!
WoW Somebody really threw out some neat things! Thanks for the video!
Belle seems to have an eye for decor. I like that fruit bowl too.
The iridescent glass bowl is called carnival glass because it used to be given as prizes at carnivals and fairs. People do collect it. It was made in Indiana.
You guys are so adorable! Showing us all your treasures…

Wow, you hit the jackpot with the free stuff. Nice to have a large vehicle to accommodate unexpected finds.

Those look like all the knick-knacks I inherited from my mom and grandma. Many say "Made in Japan".
That was a great haul! I would probably donate most of it.
