- DeBarge was an American musical recording group composed of several members of the DeBarge family. In addition to various solo projects completed by members of the family, DeBarge was active between 1979 and 1989. The group originally consisted of Mark, Randy, Bunny and El. James joined the group a year later for their second album. Bobby and Chico joined in 1987 and 1988 respectively, replacing Bunny and El.
DeBarge released six studio albums, four of them with Motown's Gordy Records: The DeBarges (1981), All This Love (1982), In a Special Way (1983), and Rhythm of the Night (1985). The latter became the group's best-selling album and contained the single "Rhythm of the Night", which hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it their highest charting single in the United States. DeBarge entered its decline in 1986, when El and Bunny were offered solo deals with Motown, and DeBarge was released from its contract.
The remaining members signed with Stripe Horse Records, an independent label, in 1987, which released their final studio album, 'Bad Boys'. 'Dance All Night is the single from that album.
The group continued to perform for an additional two years. Personal problems, legal issues, compounded with the ever changing musical tastes of the public led to the group's dispersion in 1989, 10 years after its inception.
This single reached #10 on the Dutch Tipparade of July 11, 1987.

@@grandma651 Samee :((
Band's like this and Kool & the Gang, Shalamar etc really defined the 80's disco sound
FUNK, please ... funk !
(''Disco'' was the horrible stuff from the seventies [1970s] and is considered to have died around 1979 right after the ''disco sucks'' movement where people were burning tons of vinyl records labelled as ''disco'' precisely ... nobody - or almost - was still doing ''disco'' after that ... and certainly not towards the late 1980s, like on this performance from '87)
James is so the party inside of the party!!! ❤🎉😊
I Loved DeBarge 💃🕺

This is one of there best songs should be on a Greatest Hits CD..James was fine .Bobby looked a lot different than he did on Switch he looked more like El before..
He was on them Drugs bad
Drugs destroy Bobby looks, he use to be so handsome with the afro
@@taiwanarnold5927
I feel sad that he preferred the drugs over getting help and therapy. Like El once said, "He just didn't love his self enough " Sooo sad. 😢😢
I love this era of debarge I know this is when El and bunny left I also like debarges in the late 80 even Chico. I like the bad boys album. I love Bobby the best out of all them.
Bons tempos!!!!
Look at Marks hair. I wonder how he gets his curly hair to do that, maybe lots of hair spray. The styles of the eighties.
Maybe that Aqua Net 😂
@@calebdouglas7622now his hair is past his waist these days

Wait I thought Bobby sang lead with James? So Randy sang lead with James or was it like “I’m going let Randy get the spotlight”?
I was confused about that to cus and a different performance bobby was singing lead on this song im guessing maybe they took turns leading this song when the other one don't feel like it.
I saw that too!
Yes Bobby sang lead on this song. He let Randy do the lip syncing for whathever reason, maybe he didnt feel like being in front that day or like you said he wanted Randy to get some spotlight for a change. My guess is what you said.
That is definitely Randy singing with James on that song. Randy sang lead also on I like it with El on the hook of it.
@@josepha.8893 they all much sound the same. Any of them could do lead

Impressão minha,ou nessa formação da banda já não estava mais o El debarge, que sempre foi o vocalista principal?
Ya se había retirado de la banda.
:)
I was introduced to Bunny’s version of this song.

Dit vind ik nu nog steeds zo slecht en net als All This Love niet verder in de Tipparade gekomen . Al ik bij All This Love het nog nooit heb begrepen dat deze niet hoger is gekomen .
How come Bobby didn't dress trendy like his brothers??? He looks like a father in his clothes compared to Randy, Mark and James.
Wayment?!?!
sad fam
👋🏽👋🎷🎷🔥🔥🔥🏆🏆🍒👍👍🏽
We're this come from.😳👀👁
They all had to have there own aid. Of there womens. That’s there story. They’ll telling me. With them. A be grade. Sharp grade of an A.
Bons tempos, hoje a música só tem lixo e prostituição ao péssimo gosto da indústria.
Why did i think the one with long hair was Bunny until they did a close up. They all move like a bunch women tho.
At first I thought mardy was bunny with all the hair.
Slecht! 😵💫😫
Oeps dat is slecht… 😬
Best wel enorm gay dit
Ze treden letterlijk op, wat is daar gay aan?
