So after my grandfather died I did Neuro graphic art for my sadness. Ended up show casing my pieces for my senior art exhibition in college. Of course at the time I didn't have the words to fully describe what I was doing and how much it helped me, but I'm so glad I stumbled across this video.

Hi😀 i'm so glad to see that you found something creative to heal. What name we put on the art form is there to be a quid line. The most importen is that you do wath wath you love, and use the techniques you like. And follow your heart's desire. Thank you for sharing this lovely words! 🥰❤️

I've combined my zentangle patterns alot with neuro graphic art using mixed media materials. This helped me cope with my health problems. Very soothing.🙂

In my day we called this scribble art. It always happened during boring school lessons and on rainy days. Scribble-Doodles-Neurographic-Zentangles, all seems to be the same. It does calm and is easy to lose yourself in it.

Yes, this is something we did in elementary school in the 1950s. Friday afternoons we had art class and this activity yielded a quiet classroom and relaxed kids instead of fed-up, cooped-up kids in a cold climate environment. We had only pencils and crayons on newsprint paper, though.

@@anitakallestad Thank you! Yes, I'm definitely new to art. I'm 50 and always thought it would be cool to be able to draw, but thought it was something you either could or couldn't do. I know, silly, but I just believed I wasn't artistic, so never pursued it. Thanks to some people I know who are artistic and RUclips, I have figured out that like most things, it's a skill you can learn. I have drawn a few things and I think I'm pretty good for a beginner. The thing is, it does take me a long time and sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed with the process, so I don't do it very often. RUclips suggested your video probably because I do watch some art channels from time to time, and I'm glad you popped up in my feed. Not only did I really like the piece you created, but it didn't feel overwhelming for me to try it. I don't even like adult coloring books because I have trouble deciding on the colors and all of that... In other words, I overthink and that defeats the purpose. I really like this neurographic art because I didn't find myself overthinking. I really was just relaxed and enjoying the process. I know it will still help me to improve my shading and blending, etc, but without the pressure of making it look a certain way. So, thank you again for sharing your work and for the conversation/encouragement. I didn't get back to my picture today, but I am looking forward to working on it some more and doing more of this art in general. I still plan to draw too and I may even take some art classes when I retire, but for now, I really appreciate you introducing me to this more relaxed approach to art. I will subscribe to your channel, hopefully that will help you a little bit. 💕
