- You'd be surprised at some of the everyday things that are banned in different parts of the world! For example, chewing gum is a big no-no in Singapore because they want to keep their streets clean. In Milan, Italy, it’s actually illegal to frown in public unless you’re at a funeral or visiting someone in the hospital. Australia has some strict quarantine laws, so you can't bring in fresh fruits or vegetables. Even something as common as wearing high heels is banned at certain historical sites in Greece to protect the ancient monuments!

Wrong. They are still legal tender. Roll them up and take them to a bank and they will exchange them.

No store will take them, but any bank will. You can get paper or plastic rolling material at most dollar stores.
We still accept pennies in Canada, there just none out there.

Here's another one for you, in Barbados it's Illegal to wear any form of camouflage patterns on your clothing, even the garishly bright ones like hot pink. This is because camouflage clothing is strictly reserved for military use, and so wearing camouflage is considered impersonating military personnel.
