I pray the powers that be can get PVAMU for a Chicago Classic in the future! I think they're the only SWAC school who hasn't been in the classic up here. I need to come to Texas! PV is the only SWAC band I have yet to see in person!

Some of the comments on here are a bit ruff and unnecessary. Both bands did well and there is always room for improvement. Bashing won't fix anything. Those of us that have graduated from college and those of you who are still going need to continue to do what you can to help out your programs and respect others. AEA!!!
One of the best classics I have ever seen, enjoyed it so much and let us remember especially those who marched before how hard these young men and women work for their schools to entertain us. Let's keep them encouraged.

Yeah I love my WF fam but we have to be honest, PV was just better that night. both band sounded good but hats off to the storm ya'll got this one.....this year.
It's time for change GSU (doc and company). Why all the slow tunes? Whoever is writing and arranging the music needs to be replaced. GSU, where is the folder. Same songs, where is the creativity? Gram Sounds like a high school band with a lot of tubas. PV won this battle clearly.
And I guessing you should be the arranger? Apply for the job!
It's people like u the reason why Grambling State University is in the shape it is. You will not admit the truth, yet live in the past or what I call denial, but will rationalize for the current staffs, mediocre at best production. Gram needs young new hungry staff. Man Gsu did sound real good but not better than Pv. it's just something about pv sound I love I mean Su and Jsu got the power but PV got that smooth funk. Gsu got the groove. I love all the swac bands everyone is their own individual. They bring it and mean it.

they both sound good but both mello and trumpet sections are very weak
now pv trumpets is heard gsu trumpets sound thin for their band to be small
Grambling killed Prairie View during the Halftime. It was pretty bad too.
I'm sorry but GSU's "Yoga" sounded horrible. The other songs were ok....but overall The Storm slaughtered GSU

Both bands were sub par Pv put more work in. you can tell and I am a World Famed alum but it's time for our program to get upgraded with a youth movement time for Doc to go and the dance lines both did well

Both get the big L I'm sorry but PVAMU and Grambling didn't play the songs people wanted to hear, the arrangements were not powerful, Grambling seems to be stuck in the 70s/80s, PVAMU needs to update their catalog too. This was once again a boring State Fair Classic battle but PV won. If you wanna see a real battle check out SU/JSU, SU/TxSU, ASU/SU, ASU/JSU, TSU/JSU
