Michael Jordan is the best player of all time because not only did he have the flash, athletic ability but also the most fundamentally sound player.
He could finish at the rim, go left or right and change direction while keeping the same speed, post up smaller defenders, unstoppable midrange pull-up, baseline fade-away, and shoot 3’s if he wanted too. Complete two way superstar.
In one season he won the MVP, Scoring Title, Defensive Player of the Year, All Star MVP, & Slam Dunk Champ.
Jordan is 6-0 in the championship game, big dance. Never folded. 10’ time scoring champ, 6 times Finals MVP.
He was the most athletic guy in the league, but also had the highest work ethic, and best offensive player and defender in one package. Long Live the GOAT 🐐

The shrug was because the day before that game, a reporter asked Clyde Drexler if he and Jordan were equals (or something like). Clyde said something like “yes, except that I can shoot the 3.”. Basically implying that Jordan couldn’t. So, in typical Jordan fashion, he broke the record for the most 3’s in a half for the NBA Finals.

96-98 MJ is a shadow of 86-93 MJ. But he still was the best. If you saw Prime MJ there is no comparison. 86 to 93 he wa an alian, in the 2nd run he was the best human, but a human he was.

The thing we love about MJ was aside from all his greatness. After a big play which was very often. NO BEATING HIS CHEST, THROWING GANG SIGNS, DANCING OR FLEXING FOR THE CAMS, or none of that. Just straight business. His game did all the entrainment and some.

Rewatching all these clips lately, that sticks out for sure. The tenacity to get to the rim whenever he wanted. Through real centers and hand checking defenses. 1 of the best analytic stats to me is the gravity a player has. Look at the amount of attention he gets from every defender n still just crushes. He was unreal

Ok here are two out of the 100 reasons why MJ is the GOAT:
    1. First time a "playground/creative style game" was displayed on the NBA stage.
    2. No wasted movements. Meaning less steps to get to the "bucket" or "pads"
    Discuss.

THIS was the best team there was.. I guarantee they could smoke the ‘96 version of themselves. They literally only lost like 4-5 more games this year they had 67-68 wins. Before their ‘96 season they already had like the 1st or 2nd best season ever already. People tend to forget that for some reason.
But here’s the main reason, on top of all that; MJ was 32-33 yrs old in the ‘96 season, the tail end of his prime days, past them really.. But ‘92 was his age 28-29 season, he was still right at his peak.... The ‘96 team was deeper, had better bench/role players; but the ‘92 team had a far better starting 5. And like I said, their stars’ knees all had 4 less years on them.
Jordan dominated ‘92. I mean he had the Olympic gold, the MVP, finals MVP, scoring title. Literally just about everything.... If there was some way you could have like an NCAA-style tournament with the greatest teams throughout NBA history, my money is always gona be on the ‘92 Bulls. Period.

Jordan’s 1992 playoff run is probably a bit underrated. Though I’d say 91 was his best, 92 also has a decent argument as the greatest playoff run ever.
