Hi Debbie, I looked longingly at your shrubs Leucothhoe and a few days after seeing your video I visited my local nursery. To my great joy and surprise they had some Leucothhoe for the first time. I chose the curly red as one of the plants in my Autumn container. I spotted them straight away after watching this video. Thank you for sharing. Love from England.
I really like plants that don't lose their leaves and give you a color show! I also like groupings of colorful plants in pots. You don't have to have flowers to have beautiful color. Although flowers are gorgeous!
I planted both of these about 2 years ago, but I didn’t really know what they’d do over time. Now I’m delighted I ha e them thanks to you. Thank you for saying the name:) never knew how to pronounce it.
Wow! Thank you for sharing so many different choices, looking forward to seeing your next video on your containers, as I at that stage now. Love from England.
One of my favourite shrubs along with Skimmias and Nandinas. Great year round colour but especially lovely in the Fall/Winter garden. Looking forward to your container shrub ideas.
Thank you so much. These look like wonderful plants for color in the shade and EVERGREEN. I'm really trying to focus more on evergreens to keep the landscape looking alive through winter. I really appreciate your videos....down here in Southern Oregon. I don't post much because I watch RUclips on my Smart TV and I can't comment or see anything in the description box on the thing....not so SMART!!
Thank you so much! My sister wants me to plant a few things at her new weekend retreat east of Woodland. Shade and hardy plus color.... perfect. I have a spot for the little ones too.
Woodland WA? That’s where I live! It’s a beautiful area. I live on the Lewis. Sandy soil is my biggest battle here. Better that than the hard clay lots of people in the area deal with though. Happy planting 💚🌱
Gorgeous plants. I’m always looking for color for shade! Haven’t seen these down here in NC. I’m in 7B. I will look for them! Thank you for your great videos!! Looking forward to your pots! Blessings from Raleigh. 🍁💖🍂
At some point would you consider talking about plants that are often used in the south zone 7-9 that don't do well in the PNW and what to use instead. I'm thinking of gardenias and gingers and bottle brush trees.
Thank you for sharing your love of gardening with us. My name is Jose, I live in NYC. I live on the top floor of an apartment building which has a private garden patio. Currently there is a new building going up adjacent to us. With that said, my whole garden is in containers. I have everything from trees, to shrubs, bulbs and perennials. I want to give us some privacy from the building next to us so I put up trellises. I already had one, a Clematis. I decided to add more clematis'. One on either side of the one which I already have and another on the opposite wall. Well all three bloomed beautifully then they looked awful the rest of the summer. I want to do something different that will hold up. The containers along the outside walls are custom so they are 22 inches tall, 16 feet wide, and 15 inches deep. Any ideas of what I can add? Thank you, Jose from NYC
Enjoy you videos so much, very informative, I live in zone 8b in NE Florida. On 1-21-2022 I was watching one of your episodes and you mentioned a ground cover that you were going to put in for a slope you want hopefully to retain the soil. Sadly, I missed the name of the plant you showed that you wanted to use. Tried to back up to get the name and made an error on my system. Would it be possible for you to tell me the name of the plant you used on the slope. I realize this is a bit long, and I apologize. Thank you.
@Garden Style nw I’m in zone 10a. I am not understanding why some plants are suggested for, let’s say 6-9. Why wouldn’t these plants grow in 10a when the lowest temp here is not as low as zones 6-9?
Yes....I would love longer vids....No, I never get bored listening to you...so interesting and such a soothing voice!
Could never be bored listening and watching you, love your videos x
I love how calm her sounds and I love the way she plays colors in the garden😄
Great shrubs. I really enjoy your channel. 🙋♀️

They are beautiful and would be perfect for my part of North Central Texas but I've never seen them offered. Shame.
I have several Lecothoe Rainbow in my landscape and love them. Now I'll be on the lookout for Rejoice as well - beautiful!
Can’t wait to see your containers!!

Hello thank you for a great video. Gosh those shrubs are beautiful.
I love your videos so much! Thank you for this one. Loved it.
I will definitely be adding these to my garden, as I have a lot of shady areas. Thank you again!
Gorgeous and a great selection.
Oh my gosh. I’m so glad I found your channel.

Are you still active? Love your videos.
Yes lots of videos coming after the New Year. 😊
What do you suggest for zone 5? Beautiful plant but out of my zone😩
❤❤❤❤❤
Are any of these deer resistant?
Can these gorgeous shrubs take some afternoon sun? Portland, Oregon.
Very little.

Some plants prefer cooler temps. And don't do well in hot dry climates. :)
Are these tolerant of less rain? I'm 8b Central nc. Thanks
Yes! As long as they are not dry for long periods.
