It's weird that whenever he adds or changes something about the painting, initially it's like "well, that just looks stupid", but five seconds later it's like "MY GOD, IT'S PERFECT".
+LeoTheGamerHD SAVED
exactly
+RJ M I know, I'm like that doesn't look right then a few seconds later it's like....wow nice!
+RJ M OMG yes, at 22:50 I thought he was ruining the painting, then it turned out perfect.
+RJ M Eventually you reach a point where you just stop questioning and just wait for the magic to happen.
My face hurts from smiling the entire time I watched this.
+beasthunt same :)
+beasthunt My hands hurt from clapping
+The Saint My chest hurts from ritualistic dominance assertion. Not related to this video.
pretzelzetzel You should get that checked out...
I almost teared up at 17:56 when he said "everyone should have a friend." Aww
It's a shame that Bob died before the popularisation of the Internet and proliferation of social media. He would be one the most loved people in the whole world and he would have been able to realise how happy he made people which is what he mainly wanted from life. I noticed in this episode an echo of his voice which I have not heard before. Perhaps he's in a huge gymnasium just painting all on his own because that's all he wants. I like to think that his voice is booming because he is in heaven still painting away and we can all hear him. Because of the black background of his videos (and the echo) you can almost imagine he's in this void somewhere between the earth and the sky just doing what he likes to do, forever, and when he's finished for the day he "beats the devil out of it", puts his easel, canvas and paints away, quietly turns the camera off himself and fades away into the ether until it's time to paint once again.
that was beautiful
ASMRWhisperLight. Holy crud that was deep
How did he die😭
ASMRWhisperLight. Wait he DIED?!
Blue Taco
Unfortunately, he did in July 4, 1995 due to Lymphoma. He was a great man, and we shall miss him forever.
Seeing a Bob Ross video on my feed is just as refreshing as having the perfect cup of coffee while sitting on a porch overlooking any of the beautiful scenes he paints.
James Shuler Brilliant minds think alike ;)
+James Shuler (GloriousJim) well said!

+Bob Ross You died July 4, 1995.
+Adam Watson (AJ) id say its a close relative
+Adam Watson (AJ) or steve
+Charlie Francis or someone from his company.
He makes it look so easy.
You can do it too! I have no painting experience in my life. But after watching a couple seasons of Bob Ross and heading down to my local hobby store and picking up some supplies I was able to create a very decent landscape in only my third try. I'm no Bob Ross, but my friends were very surprised to see I painted such a painting. All it takes is patience and imagination
One They Fear And a little bit of Bob Ross never hurts
+One They Fear And happy little clouds
+Luis Alberto Solis Villagómez and happy little trees
Its definitely harder than it looks and it does take patience but it is rewarding. You have to load your brush correctly or else you won't get the right effect, the way you press brush on canvas will drastically change your effect. There is a lot of little nuances but if you stick through the first few paintings you pick it all up
GODDAMMIT WHY'D HE HAVE TO DIE?!? He was like, the most peaceful, happy, and calming person in the world!
Before taking painting, Bob Ross was in fact a drill sergeant for the Air Force, while doing service, he grew attention to the landscape around the Air Force base, and started to imitate the beauty in drawings. These original drawings' locations are not known, but are worth millions, it is believed that Bob hid them in a special place during his time there.
Natural!st cool!
+Natural!st Bob was a DRILL SARGENT HOW!!?!!?!!?
amazing Michelangelo he has a very loud and aggressive voice, but also a tender voice too
Natural!st well shit, the more you know I suppose
This takes me back to Saturday afternoons as a child. We didn't have cable, so after my cartoons, there wasn't much to watch with only a half dozen channels on the air. I remember flipping through and would often land on Bob Ross doing his happy little paintings on PBS. I absolutely loved it. He as such a soothing voice and it would encourage me to not only be more artistic, but to really appreciate nature. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone grew up with a little Joy of Painting on a Saturday afternoon. RIP Bob.
I have depression. This is the first time I smiled this week. Thankyou Bob!
Same it's also perfect to fall asleep to! 😄
+Achtung_Spitfire How could you be depressed with a cool username and profile picture like that?
Nicholas Coffey
Thanks man :) Is that a stingray in your picture?
Achtung_Spitfire It sure is. It's my 1976 L-82 Corvette :^)
Nicholas Coffey
Oh man it looks so cool. I'm jealous.
Always enjoy watching Bob Ross, legend.
Bob Ross was ASMR before ASMR
correct
You got that right 😂
Ikr Im'e getting better tingles from this than ASMR
Did you get that from theodd1sout?
All asmartists are just trying to be Bob Ross. Literally everything he does is a trigger.
Does anyone else watch this to relax??! B.R. is so therapeutic.
Does anyone NOT watch these to relax?
Perfect videos to relax and fall asleep to.

+Bob Ross you are too good, really too good. I wish I could paint like you.
+quint fleischeuer You do know that isn't actually bob ross right?
Hahaha no.....
Seriously, this is like the most chill show ever.
First ASMR I have ever felt! The Master!
You too? When I was growing up, I would either do some paint by numbers or fall asleep while watching him. :)
+Vinny Gutierrez Oh yes. When I first heard of ASMR, my first thought was, "Oh, like Bob Ross."
+Vinny Gutierrez You only react to voices or to music as well?
Harry Krinkle right?!?!
Does any one think if he was alive to day he would be an asmrst like on social media and a seprate RUclips channel
HIS VOICE IS SO CALMING AAAAHH
+~ Lee Hide ~ And to think he was an Air Force drill sergeant for 20 years..
he is literally the man with a million lifes

I don't know anybody as happy as Bob.
i want to meet someone like Bob :'>
I want to be someone like Bob.
same
Wasn't planning to watch more than 1 minute of the video.. Ended up watching the whole thing. I regret nothing :]
I remember watching his show when I was but a wee lad of six or seven. I enjoyed watching him paint (and how his voice and overall manner relaxed me), but even more than that, I got the impression that he was genuinely kind person on and off screen. Celebrity deaths don't often bother me, but I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing.
Did robin williams death sadden you a biy
* bit
odd dree Yes, but not as much. It's hard to say why some deaths affect me more than others. I guess it's the connection I felt with them while they were alive. Gilda Radner and Phil Hartman's deaths were pretty big blows to me, partly because I'd grown up admiring them so closely. I liked Robin but wasn't a huge fan.
Mr. Boy I'm too young to have known him before he passed be he does some like a genuinely nice guy. He's like the Steve Irwin of the art world for me. I think I feel most attached to people who love what they do. Both Steve and Bob (I just noticed how oddly normal their names are) loved what they did and you could see it. It's so unfortunate that both of them have passed.
I remember i was 5 and my dad watched bob and i liked him too but i forgot about him until the other day
After months of political bullshit, I really needed this. Bob never fails to restore the soul.
Figured I would respond because most people would need it again
What the hell happened for you?
I can’t help but laugh pfff politics do SUCK
@@Safizz no one cares

I can’t paint, watched out of curiosity, totally chilled out watching and listening to Bob!
8:47 "...and wonderful pollution.."
leave it to Mr. Ross to make bad things seem happy
I know. His voice is so calm. It may seem weird but once I imagined him as a murderer. So meticulous and calm. It's almost creepy.
Go Die In A Hole He was a Master Seargent in the Air Force. When I found that out, I nearly fell over. I can't imagine him drilling troops!
ELWest1000 Yeah. It's kinda weird. But I read somewhere that he wasn't too fond of it. I don't know how true that is. But still. So strange.
+Go Die In A Hole your correct, he said if he was to ever leave armed forces he would leave behind the "mean" or "nasty" aspects of his life in the past :)
Jacob Martindale Oh okay so I was right.
I can't pay attention in school for 5 minutes, but i can watch bob ross all day..
Not that you do have it but people who have trouble like that in school due to attention can suffer from ADHD where you also experience something called hyper focus. Essentially it's like when you're uninterested you can't pay attention to save your life but when you like something you can pay attention constantly. I'm not a doctor but this is something I found out recently about my ADHD and I'm hoping even though it's 4 years ago maybe this can be helpful! I went from getting Fs due to ADHD (amongst other reasons) to getting treated and now making Dean's list in college multiple times. There is hope and more to you than boring classes! Sending Love & Light!
Love the quality of the audio
joe Costello His voice is just so... soothing and calm
So glad to be able to see videos of The BOSS Bob Ross truly a legendary artist...Thank you
Bob Ross already did 👍
just discovered bob ross. taht's insane what he can do in 25 minutes. amazing!
goku he's dead 💀;c
Sparklingbunnygirl12
well I know he is. people live, people die but their ideas remain.
That is what's important.
This man was ahead of his time. If only they had ASMR defined back in the 70s this guy would be king
Even if it wasn't defined back then, he is and always will be the king ;)
+JoJoXGamer more like a god
+Fr3shTiger A god-king
+TheRubberStudiosASMR his look is 70s, but these eps. were made in the 80s & 90s

I could literally watch (and listen to) him do mountains for hours.
i thought this would be boring, but boy is bob ross fckn magical
I love him to death such an amazing artist and human being( not like I knew him personally but from I can see:) I love painting because of this guy!!!
You can't love him to death, he's already dead fam.
spartan113ish Why so serious?
You love him to death. The irony.
You killed him >:(
I used to watch this on an old TV with my grandmother. Best memories of my life. Eating chocolate chip cookies with her as we watched. She had breast cancer and Parkinson's. She was told she would never live to ever see me born, and she lived until I was 10. I miss you. Bob Ross, thank you for my memories, and thank you for sparking my interest in art.
Everything about this show is just perfect. The satisfying sounds of the knife scraping the paint, the soft tapping of the bristles against the canvas, the amazing simplicity of each masterpiece of a painting and of course, Bob Ross' gentle, calming voice whispering such motivational and inspirational sayings.
It's almost a shame that an episode can be over just before you know it.
Who is still love watching Bob Ross videos 😊👍
Looking at one of these old episodes, I have always noticed how watching him paint reduces my stress and brings relaxation. His paintings make you want to jump into them to experience them.
Literally so stressed out, watch some Bob Ross and everything is just ok.

sadly there is no way.
bob ross has passed away :C
r.i.p bob ross
+Aidan steel ......No he didn't.... He just posted a video today...
July 4 1995 he died. He was 54. People are making HD remakes of his old ones in his name
+idesofmars Although they up-converted this to 1080, the original show was obviously filmed in the interleaved 480 format of the time. Due to this, any perceived increase in video quality to this "HD" upload is placebo. :)
"no mistakes, just happy accidents"
Okay, so, when he did the snowtop mountain, I looked away for 2 seconds when it was white smudge. I looked back, and it was pretty much a real snowtop mountain. What the heck?
Ice Bear
He was amazing at what he did.
I was smiling throughout the entirety of this video :) Thanks, Jack, for making me curious! "No mistakes here, just happy accidents."
IKR. Jack reminded me of this dude in his video (cuz I forgot about him for a bit) so I came here and now feel so peaceful. :)

Bob ross. Master painter and ASMR king.
Thank you For Everything that you have given the world, and the legacy you continue to give with every generation after!
I remember coming home after school in the spring and turning on the TV to watch bob ross. Then I would open up the windows and let the warm spring air fill the house. I would sit down in the couch which was located right under a skylight. And I would slowly slip into a state of semi consciousness as bobs beautiful voice filled my ears, warm spring air filled my nostrils, and the warm but not hot sunlight shined down on my skin.
Good memories :)
Dear Bob... RIP my friend.. you are are the greatest sleeping therapy ever! I love watching your shows. thank you!
The feeling if he does something and first you think.. wait don't ruin the picture and then he makes it even better :D.
Well he might be dead but you can see how happy he was, every time when I watch these videos I get a wide smile on my face :)
Bob Ross I alredy did and would like to do it twice, greetings from Germany! :)
He never really sold his paintings from the show either. He gave them away to be used to raise money in charity events or to friends and co-workers.
Jeremy Smith
Because that's how amazing he was.
I appreciate this man so much.
Bob Ross is just too good of a painter. His voice is also literally hypnotic.

R.I.P Bob. We effing love you man.
So soothing. Almost hypnotic. I sort of go into a trance listening to his voice and following his brushes.Happy trees.
The most positive man on earth
Such a wonderful flashback to childhood watching PBS. Bob Ross was the man!
He's blowing my mind with every step and I haven't even taken the acid yet
This man has the single most calming presence of any individual to ever roam this earth.
Bob is such an angelic human being
Idk why but these shows he did were just a fantastic watch. It's so different & calming from the usual TV shows. Thank you Netflix for introducing me to his show.
I like how he repeatedly said "I don't know," because while you're painting, having a set vision of exactly what it should look like will ruin it for you if you make a mistake.
Happy accident* my apologies

the intro: if only painting was that easy
I would get a heap of a's in art
I love bob ross
Bob you got me into painting and I made my first today, thank you for giving me inspiration, you are a beautiful human being.
Shake off the excess and just beat the devil out of it
Bob ross is better than anyone on screen because he's like a cure for illnesses of all kinds... may god bless you!
HD is nice, but I'm not a huge fan of the image being squeezed to fit a widescreen aspect ratio; also there seems to be interlacing or whatever those lines are. That being said, I'm actually quite happy to have access to these videos, no matter what, so I'm not really complaining, just sayin' :D Thanks!

@@ysstuss I have 100 vids and I forget to watch them all
I'm a newcomer to the magic of Bob Ross and with this being my first episode, I feel so peaceful and happy right now.
I have a kit, and some time this weekend. I think I will try to make a painting. :D
Oil, acrylic, tempera, watercolor, or gouache?
Christopher Benson Oil-- and I did it! tinyurl.com/on9vob7
It's a little harder than Bob makes it look. But with practice, I think it will get better. :)
***** Thank you!
Not really; just watching a LOT of Bob Ross on TV. I made a lot of mistakes, but that's okay. :)
ELWest1000 That's a very good first attempt, better than mine definitely haha. First thing I noticed is you put too much magic white on at the beginning. I can tell because it looks like you tried to make clouds but it got all mushed in there haha. Basically I would suggest try and use less paint in general, especially for the sky and clouds, it'll help a lot. Also saves on paint haha. Happy painting!
getasimbe Thank you for the tips! :D Yes, it did get kind of smeary. I need to get the feel of touching the canvas lightly--I tend to push too hard when I need to just barely whisk over it. My trees at the bottom got all smeary too. At least practicing is fun! :D
It's the first tie I'm watching this guy. OMG I'm in love. It's so satisfying the way he talks and the peace that he brings in his painting.
"...be sure to paint your water level, or you'll have to tie a bucket on one side..."

...what?
lololol
Its calming, and I learnt something new about art.

There is no reason to atheist
I love the opening for the show!
This is what I watch to fall asleep
Wow, I forgot how quickly these episodes fly by. I've been watching my entire life. I've learned so much. Some techniques work with other mediums, as well.
He died too soon RIP Bob
I was really sad today and this video makes me smile and now I want to paint, Bob Ross is awesome
where is the money from these videos going? charity I hope?
it's an official channel, so I assume it goes to his company. they still sell paint supplies, books, and DVDs.
+andyisyoda Before Bob Ross died, he sold a lot of his paintings and gave the money to charity, I assume now that since he has died the money goes to the Bob Ross company.
hey andy
@@adamwatson9112 no his paintings were kept but people can buy them for a big amount of money
Bob Ross made three versions of each painting that appeared on “The Joy of Painting.” The first was made before the show, to be used as a reference. He painted the second during the 26-minute taping, sometimes with last-minute improvisations. The third was made afterward, for instructional books.
One set of those paintings, plus some others that were not painted on the show, are in the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. Another set is in the Bob Ross Art Workshop & Gallery in New Smyrna Beach, FL., the last set belongs to the Kowalski family.
wow, if i had someone like him do this in front of me in elementary school at painting classes i would now be a painter. It's so natural and just with a few techniques he can do so much. And the way he talks about it it's so relaxing. I never knew painting is like this. Wonderfull
Lets add some titanium hwhite what the heck
Gotta love this guy... Its become a routine to watch Bob Ross at 7 am everyday and i get so excited when i open youtube❤
God was having a good day when he made Alaska. When he made Detroit, well, that was when he found out Mary wasn't as infertile as he'd hoped.
I only planned to watch for a little bit, maybe leave it on in the background while I did something else. But not even a few seconds in I was enthralled. I can't wait to see more.
