Do you have a First Aid Kit, I didn't show every item I have in the kit but do you think I am missing anything important?
I really need to take a first aid class and start bringing a first aid kit with me. Adding to my liked videos so I can get the list again later.
The Class is worth the time! Even if your on a bike with no room for a kit. Carry a tourney and compressed gauze in pocket or tool pouch! Thanks for watching!
This is such a great idea. I need to put one of these together to carry on the bike AND in the truck. Well done...
Thanks I have one in my go bag stays in my truck along with additional survival type items
This is the best motorcycle first aid kit I've seen yet. My kit is mostly the same.
Only tip would be to throw a packet of sugar based drink mix in there. It's small, light, and can end a diabetic emergency.
Thanks and good tip!
We carry a small first aid kit with us,ya never know when you might need it,good job Mike💯
Thanks Dan!
having it in a plastic bag is such a good idea, I have a identical pack but never even thinking about putting it in a plastic bag before strapping it onto my gear, consider I have my other med kit went through rain and things inside got all molded, I should really do that.
I have worked in the medical field most of my life and most people are not prepared for treating an injured person. First aid kits are good to have if you know how to use them. The cutting off of clothes is used way to often though. At least 1/2 the time it is done it is not needed. I wish EMTs and others would not be so quick to cut up a persons clothes. I understand April getting upset about that.
That is why I stressed the stop the bleed class so much. I think we should all try to be better prepared. I am glad I had the training and kit when she had her accident.
Correction, I was able to find Stop the Bleed classes around the Mid-Atlantic area once I searched by Postal Code vs City/State 😏
Well I hope you can get into one soon!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Always carry tools, first aid kit & dope.

Dope will get you thru times of no money
Better than times of no dope.
My Harley is Dope. True story 1969
Thanks, I am building a backup first aid kit, because in EU we have to have a first aid kit with us at all times in any vehicle, and it has to ne no less than 5 years old... So I am now making one I can use, and the bought one is only for the regulations
This is great advice and should help
Me and others in the future
Thanks that is goal! Thanks for Watching and commenting!
Awesome kit Mike! I like how you explained everything and I didn't know about the stop the bleed class. I'll look into it for sure. Take care and see you soon brother👊🤘
Great video! Like others here, I didn't know about the Stop The Bleed course. Will definitely be taking this as soon as scheduling permits.
Thanks. Feel free to share it if you think it would help others. It is a topic that I feel so many could benefit from but don't even think about...
I bought a Toyota recently that included a fancy first aid kit much like you put together. I put it on my scooter instead of the car. Pretty well thought out kit as well as nice and compact.
Cool glad you have a kit on your ride!
Thermal blanket is good too.
great suggestion, I have it in my go bag in my truck but should add it to this Kit.
Excellent video Mike.
I think I'm going to put together a smaller version of that and throw it in the bottom of my bag. Your videos are always information-packed and enjoyable to watch. (even the bloopers..lol)
Well I know who watches to the end now LOL, Thanks! A Rats Tourney and compressed Gauze and Clotting Gauze would be my top 3 if you have to go smaller, maybe a pair of scissors with a roll of med tape in a ziplock bag. There are videos about making a chest seal from something like a ziplock bag if you don't have anything else.
Some really good info, I have had first aide training along with CPR, never thought of carrying a first aide kit with me when I was younger on bike, even though dirt bike riding friends had some nasty wrecks back then, although seemed I was never around when that happened. Have fun and be safe.
Thanks!
Hi Mike, nice kit, I appreciate how you presented your trauma kit and how it helped with a real-life situation. For years I have had a basic and medium level kit in my home or travels, however, it has not been until the year 2010 and onward that I have heard and learned more about trauma kits. I have looked into the Stop-the-Bleed program, but there are no local classes in my area, I will ask around at the community clinics or at least look for a related video online. Thank You and God Bless
Awesome my class wasn’t listed online but local EMT District put it on.
I was looking at the Survivorware, waterproof kit as a starter (recommended by Tim at FTA) but I like your run down… I’ve been rolling the dice with a cheapie for too long and I’m riding more and more solo… would love to take a Stop the Bleed class but didn’t find anything on the East Coast… yet
Awesome! Call local hospital and EMT’s and ask, my class wasn’t on website but local EMT put it on.
Keep the kit on the front or back of the bike. Not the saddle bags. If your bike is laid down on the side with the kit it might be hard or even nearly impossible to get to. I prefer to keep it up front.
Valid point but I have used multiple times when coming up on someone else that crashed. It might be arrogant or stupid by my concern is being able to save someone else, not someone saving me.
I dont recall seeing you pack some nitrile gloves with the kit. You have set up a good trauma kit but its missing gloves.
I think I have some in the kit but didn’t show them.
