Honestly thinking about how much effort seungyoun put in this mini and considering he wrote lyrics and produced all the songs makes me feel a bit frustrated because there is not enough people appreciating his talent even after many years in the industry. He really is one of the best and I hope he will grow in popularity in time because he deserves it sooo much
Well, he was not 1st on the charts, but he was 5th and 6th some weeks, which is not pretty bad considering he is not from a big company (you know how Korean market works). The album was so underrated, but it was selling good too. I believe he will be growing.

WOODZ is one of the best soloists there is, he’s so unique in style and vocals. He’s a great rapper and dancer too. He’s truly an all rounder. I can never get enough of him. He deserves the world and more.
he's one of the very few excellent soloists and the fact that he produces , composes and writes his music makes it even more impressive

Lift Up has that Imagine Dragons vibe, WOODZ’s vocals in Accident, Love Me Harder is a bop, NOID is that beautiful sad song-pretty sound and sad lyrics, rapper Seungyoun comes out in BUCK, then lastly, a ballad that is so perfect for his voice memories. album gives you all the varieties you search for an album. WOODZ's EQUAL album is easily one of the no-skip albums this year and if only quality weighs more than the quantity, it can also be a candidate for AOTY. This is Seungyoun's first EP album ever released as a soloist (he has only been releasing digital singles since then) and he nailed it. WOODZ is the main producer of his album (with the help of his producer friends, especially Nathan from M.O.L.A), curated all songs with purpose, and showcased what he can do as an artist- and he is INSANE for that; He really said I'm a triple threat, an all-rounder!
I'm very proud to see your positive response to his other songs and the whole album in general. Also, I super agree that Accident is THAT song. I always get goosebumps whenever I hear it so when PD head bangs halfway the song, I felt that ㅋㅋㅋ

Seungyoun's range is seriously out of this world. He knows how to use his voice. Every song in Equal album showed different genre and colour of his voice. He also composes and writes songs. Imagine how his next album will be.

Woodz songs are all special because they're all part of him. He writes, composes, and produces to express himself. And when he does this, he already has pictured his stages in mind. I love Equal not only for how good it is but also for how true it is.
I agree with this so much, some people think it's not a big deal the importance of being independent and self-sufficient about its work, but it truly makes a huge difference, you can feel the essence,work and emotions poured into just one track, kinda like homemade cooking lol a genuine and unique way to express love, gratitude :)

I'm just simply glad because I know he's going to produce his songs in a consistent and true manner. And each album of his is going to be a reflection of a new era of him.

Him becoming a solo artist again was one of the best things to happen in 2020 for me. There are certain idols that are so well rounded that them being on their own is a billion times better than being in a top selling group. Like this dude is an ARTIST. And with how hard he's worked all these years its needed.

woodz is an incredibly good soloist. more well-rounded than necessary as he's not just either a rapper or a vocalist and a dancer, he's all three plus a producer and songwriter. i'm so glad he's getting the recognition he struggled to get for so long, the fact that he's been working this well for so many years without being acknowledged for it took a big toll on his mental health. and now he's doing nothing but steadily rising in popularity and getting so much love. however, i'll never be able to forget the time he said his dream was being in a kpop group. how absolutely bathed with joy he was with x1. his mood did a 180. he went from singing about not knowing what he was living for anymore in "meaningless" to looking at the people surrounding him with eyes that said "i love you" and "thank you". because x1 gave so much to him. first and foremost, they gave him company, someone to share a goal with. they sung by his side and made those 6 months theirs. when looking at his face, it was so obvious how satisfied he was: he made it. he got more than he was asking for, he got what he dreamed of. he got a family on stage with him and another family cheering for him under it. then it all went south. the rigging was uncovered and the fanwars made it relevant. the dream silently fell apart and then he was alone again. now here he is. and here we are, still by his side. this is what he asked for, but clearly not what he wished for the most. not only was he given a taste of everything he could ever dream of, it was also snatched away from him. and it doesn't help that many other x1 members had a similar background. i will support their projects forever, but i'll always miss what could've been and wasn't.
ps. the song "memories" in this album is about his time with x1. fucking heartbreaking. recently, two other x1 members got together for a collab, which was... shocking, fantastic, to put it simply. then the song came out. it's called "memories" too, by eunsang and wooseok. i cried listening to it and reading the lyrics. this song will mean the world to me forever too. i would appreciate it if you could react to it.

From the very first song till the end, each song gives different colors. Totally different color you can tell. WOODZ is beyond expectation. I hate to know that he was underrated before. Listening to all songs in this Album feels like you'll have rollercoaster. Hope WOODZ/Seungyoun will get much more love from now.
when you talk about all rounders seungyoun is definitely number one for me without a doubt. he has proved over and over again that he can be a main rapper (UNIQ) or a main vocal (X1) with ease and his dancing is amazing as well. it's just really sad how people are still sleeping on him

He is an artist who can add his own senses to various genres of K-pop. Video sounds quility is good to hear it together. He is preparing to show another song within this year. According to the artists around him, the unreleased songs are very good. I hope us enjoy his next pieces, too.🥰🥰

I've been obsessed with Accident since it came out, I listen to it religiously every day. This album is just TOO good.
Even though i'm a moodz myself, i still remember how shock i was when first time listening to Equal. Accident, Lift Up & Buck are my fav in Equal. Seriously deserves AOTY.
I just turned 39 few days ago, and I was never into kpop boygroup before except when I started watching SuJu, but when I watched pdx101, i fell deep down and started to stan X1, and was really disappointed of their D*, but then there is Woodz who is just so talented but underrated. He really deserves the success and more. We just cant sleep on this amazing man. Bought his album (my one and only kpop album purchase) because this album is so LIT! And I never regret spending just to support our All Rounder...

That was a pretty solid album for me. I wasn't very familiar with Woodz beforehand, but after this album, I am definitely keeping an eye on Seungyeon and his future works💜. I was secretly hoping PD would react to Equal and now I am very happy and excited they did💜
