  • In this video I make a 750 lb table for my leather studio and bring it up to the 2nd floor alone with the back hoe. This was a 4 day build start to install Thank you please like share and subscribe!

      I still laugh when thinking about the "Spike" push sticks when making cuts at the band saw or table saw.

      @@mrbuttons1243 just wanted to mention you’re so right . Those of us who followed him from the start saw some big changes , and I was impressed by his all around talent . When he moved upstate he’s only an hour away from me . Some day I hope to shake his hand I’ll try to catch him at an event possibly I wouldn’t bother him where he went to not be bothered by the public . 🇺🇸…..

    Love that you cut the live edge off. Something about a single piece of wood that large with square edges is deeply satisfying

    Now you need a 4 x 8 granite tooling table for a side. If you plan to do any large tooling. Nice work can't wait too see your shop complete.😎😎😎

    That monkey pod is some good looking wood.. My parents purchased a home from a guy in the military and he brought some monkey pod back from S.E. Asia.. He had all the kitchen cabinets and bar made from this wood...

    This pieces is absolutely stunning! I’m personally glad you cut the rectangle out of the slab, it wouldn’t have looked as nice with the live edge in this instance.

    I love this absolutely stunning work table. Additionally I appreciate how you illustrate a craftsmen can tackle big heavy projects alone armed with the correct skill set for handling the moves. I have worked alone for over 30 years making furniture and sculpture solo.

    The scale of this is just massive. The legs look great with the top and the shadow line really offsets the two parts nicely. Thanks for sharing!

    Very impressive work, the table is beautiful.
    The "do it by yourself" getting to the second floor was almost as impressive as craftsmanship of the table and base!

    Did the same thing with a big window and a backhoe. Over loaded the bucket. We got the window in safely. Nice job Jimmy

    very beautiful. great design and proportion and feel. love the floating effect. the only things is the steel legs. i'd make them to look exactly the same but out of wood.

    I like the glides you put on the bottom of the legs Jimmy. They make it fairly easy to move without casters. Great Idea! 💡 👊

    Great slab table. I've made a few and figuring out how to do the legs always drive's me nuts. My wife still talks about the Yorkie Dog House you made in the basement years ago. Thanks for sharing.

      They want $1.05 a pound and scrap steel goes for about 9 cents a pound. So yeah they're loving it for sure.

    Very nice! That wood is incredibly beautiful.
    With those skates, use some 5/8" bars through the holes to keep them aligned. If you're moving something really heavy, use threaded rod with nuts on either side.
