A thing I love about Squid Game's antagonists is that many of their defeats (like Player 001 and The Recruiter) isn't all that much about phisically defeating them but about proving that their twisted ideologies and philosophies were wrong all that time, with Player 001's misanthropy and delusions being proven wrong at his last seconds of life and The Recruiter's nihilistic elitism also being destroyed by Gi-Hun actually having the courage to face him, for me it's a special kind of karma not only stopping the villain once and for all but also showing that they really weren't as high and mighty on their acts as they pretended themselves to be
