What they do is observe their religion to the level that they are comfortable with.. It seems that no one is concerned that similar dietary restrictions and fasts have to be observed by Christians.. Yet BBC doesn't publish anything on that.. At times it seems that media is trying to almost shame Muslims in to extremism.. That somehow there is a nessisary infrastructure that needs to be build around being a good moral citizen.. It's precieved that allowing Islam to mature in tolerance will somehow put at risk the hundred years of western effort to slow their cultural, economical, and military development... An effort that up to now resulted in irreparable humanitarian and cultural damage...

It's inappropriate to compare Vatican which is not even 1sq mile and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I would have understand had you compared it with Mecca. Saudi Arabia is just another kingdom with all sorts of people not every citizens are clergies or imams. Neither is its entirety a Mosque or religious buildings. Nevertheless Vatican's still has a better human right records than Saudi Arabia.
