I’ve been following your lessons for about 2 years. I’ve definitely made progress, internalised licks, turnarounds and triad connectors. You’re a great teacher.
I think this is so popular because it shows that you don't have to speed through a flurry of notes to make your playing sound musical. The right note at the right time always sounds magical and Brian is the best at teaching how to incorporate this idea of notes to chords.
One of your most appealing teaching traits is that you don't talk down to anyone.......Whether a person is a newbie or a pro, you teach each lesson from the ground up and cover the the basics before teaching the intricate parts........
Every saturday morning for me = lazy breakfast with a good coffee and a fresh Brian video on the side, followed by taking the guitar. Thank you for giving my weekend a steady pattern. All the love, Bart the Belgian
I love this. I learn many of Brian’s compositions to , improve my skills and if asked to play to play something catchy. Extending it to a “full song” makes it even better!
I imagine that one of the reasons that it’s so popular is because, just like all your videos, you give so much - it’s jam packed. And at the end there’s a complete piece of music that I can play. Magic!
Another good one Brian. Playing this acoustic guitar blues with a pick and finger picking blues is my favorite. And you're correct in that I have been Active Melody member for over two years and know your licks. Loven it thank you
I am not a country fan but this lesson has so many licks and runs that I would really like to learn. I enjoy most every lesson you put out. Your lessons truly have so much for every type of player. Thank you so much.
Another brilliant lesson I will enjoy spending my time learning to play this lesson and as always learn so much about the structure and relationships between the chords and scales. Many thanks Brian.
I have watched many of your videos, this one might be my favorite. A lot of it is familiar but you tie things together in such a helpful way. Thanks Brian
I LOVE THIS IDEA OF EXTENDING PREVIOUS LESSONS!! Some of the lessons were so cool that I wished they were longer in playing length. This is such a great idea you came up with.
When i started with Active Melody to learn the melodies if found it very difficult, but i would listen and I started applying the "if you dont get anything else, try this" and over time my fingers are knowing what to do. This is my 5th melody learning and I am not so discourage because i know I can get the notes down as i practice. thank you Brian!
Great lesson Brian. Been watching you for a few years now, and one thing that stands out regarding your teaching is that you take the time to re-cap the lesson and play from the beginning as you add more bits..many don't do that and it can be quite confusing. Thanks for all your work.
And many of us have been there with you all along, Brian, because you're so awesome as well as a genuine authentic human being, brother. You deserve your success. 😊
Brian, you are just plain awesome! Your compositions are timeless and inspiring. I don't possess your talent but your lessons inspire me to "think I can" and you keep me motivated to,"keep on keeping on!" 👍
well for me mastering the guitar has allways been a struggle till i found Brian and i do get stuck or distracted on my own music intrest,, but for me its getting me personly back on track focused on what im learning .. Yes Brian is a amazing instructor and i enjoy lissining to how or wair it all come from thank you Brian im going to jump in on this one going to sound good on my SG lol
Here's just a few that I would love to see an additional minute of your playing and lessons for: 577, 563, 303 and 336. There's so much more that are worthy! I hope to see more in the future.
Wonderful as usual Brian. Country music is probably the most popular genre but with so many interesting ideas this one should easily bust your views record wide open.
I think 70 percent of the views are from me learning the song. It’s an exquisite piece 😙👌. It’s the perfect balance of difficulty and pay off. How to harness that, I have no idea 😂
Your teaching is incredible Brian- once I finish up with my current class I am going to sign up with AM. Hope you have a great year! Thanks for all the great posts!
This is a good idea, to revisit a lesson. It had been added to my favs at the time because I loved the melody, now for part 2. The videos with high stats also seem to suggest anything produced from a 4 note square or other minimal starting point has the views. But to me all the lessons are gems.
Regarding why this lesson is popular. I think it’s the etude approach that is popular. The idea of arranging informative lessons into stand alone pieces. Perhaps it taps into more than strictly Blues and “crosses over” into country and folk?
Hey Brian, have you ever tried a hill country blues lesson in the style of RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough et al? Prone bass fingerstyle! I would love it🎸🎸🎸🎸 Btw.: I am premium member and big fan of you!
It is the song. Or the diddy you make. That is what sets off the views and the likes. Sometimes you come up with the sweetest sounding thing. All of what you do is really good, but every now and then, it really rings in. I guess you you just need to keep on eating your Wheaties, or whatever it is that gives you fuel. You have an army of people just adoring everything you play, I still think they should make a statue. Be well, What about Elmore?
@@activemelody I see your struggle. The walk throughs are damn good too. Not too slow, not too fast. You get it. Maybe it has to do with the position of the moon! Ha.
Beautiful!!! Do you really know that you make millions of people really happy with these videos? Well , now you know it!!!!
kind of surreal - i love to think that someone is getting some kind of a breakthrough via one of these videos. makes it all worth it!
I’ve been following your lessons for about 2 years. I’ve definitely made progress, internalised licks, turnarounds and triad connectors. You’re a great teacher.
@@activemelody it's a pleasure to sit down and play along, takes away all the daily worries

It's always the song, that makes us come back to the lessons!
Brian, the world is better place with your lessons!
I learned this song as soon as I hear it, it’s a a very catchy tune I can see why it was so popular.
It was so popular Brian, because you are just the best teacher out there when it comes to improvising country and blues.
Я русский, но занимаюсь по вашим урокам. Мне нравится ваша подача. Хотя я барабанщик. Спасибо.
I can see exactly why this type of sound is popular because it's got lots of great techniques that sound great for campfire tunes
Brian this Lesson hit home. Its because of my age.65.
I love this. I learn many of Brian’s compositions to , improve my skills and if asked to play to play something catchy. Extending it to a “full song” makes it even better!
Acoustic country blues, how can you not love it! Wishing you millions of views, Brian! 👍 🎸🇨🇦

Love this lesson, thanks from Edinburgh
AMAZING TEACHER!!!
Absolutely love this. Thank you 🙏
You’re the best dude. Genuinely!!!
I can see why this is popular. Challenging but melodic and well-explained and broken down. You have 100 upticks or whatever they're called from me.
Always love your stuff.

Yeah, more licks with chords like that. Great!
Active Melody, nice video you deserve more views
Lots of wonderful riffs. I do it fingerstyle without the flatpick. Thanks!
fingerstyle would be great for this
@@activemelody Would love to see a lesson on blues with 9th and dim 7th chords. Or any jazz chords thrown in.

When people ask me my 3 favorite players
1. Clapton
2. Dicky Betts
3. Brian from ActiveMelody
aw man, god bless ya. I don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same list as those guys. thank you for saying that though.
so good

Great lesson. Love the acoustic blues. How about a reggae tune?
Sounds similar to “A Closer Walk with Thee”
❤best
Hi Brian, great lesson thanks a lot, I wonder if you got 583 Guitars for each lesson one?
Greetings from Germany Katzwinkel
Hah, I wish !
How can't be popular, these licks are sweet as hell, I mean sweet as honey 🐝🍯. Like I was on Hawaii and beautiful girls are dancing around me 🤗 🎶
It might be the algorithm, that’s why some of them get famous maybe
I watched it 1000 times...lol. May have had something to do with it.

sorry - guess it got cut off on the video. it's a Gibson J-45

I'm wondering as a guitarist why your guitar as un-natural wear.
It’s a 1950 guitar. Lots of use through the years. Usually means it plays and feels right.
