@@bljones9383 they have to change their constitution...but according to constitution it require all citizen in China to amend the constitution regarding national territory...if they struck a new constitution in new political entity, Communists could claim that they take the territory from "China", and it is difficult to justify foreign involvement...on the other hand, if they do nothing, China's use of force would be perceived as unnecessary and abusing power...so nothing would change in foreseable future...for now...

The Hakka are a subgroup of Han Chinese, they never claim to be an ethnic group, and old Hakka people claim descent from northern Han Chinese.
The 13th Dalai Lama also joined the Republic of China, so Tibet was considered a part of the Republic of China under "Tibetant regional" control. The Ma Bufang and Ma clique of Qinghai fought several wars against the Tibetan government and the 13th Dalai Lama agreed then to negotiate with the ROC government KMT party.

Chiang's vision of China as a capitalist state is the one that eventually came to pass.
'[Historian Rana] Mitter has observed that, ironically, today's China is closer to Chiang's vision than to Mao Zedong's. He argues that the Communists, since the 1980s, have essentially created the state envisioned by Chiang in the 1930s. Mitter concludes by writing that _"one can imagine Chiang Kai-shek's ghost wandering round China today nodding in approval, while Mao's ghost follows behind him, moaning at the destruction of his vision".'_
