    I really appreciate Your accurate identification that Columbus NEVER stepped foot in modern day U.S. The 1st European Explorer to land here in the U.S. was Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian Explorer, in 1493.
    The 1st European contact in North America was with the Vikings in present day New Foundland, Canada, in 906 AD.
    I truly enjoy Your videos, as they accurately portray the Genocide done to my People, of ALL NATIVE NATIONS, by the European Decendants.

      Skepticism with his story is fair. There is very limited sources on him. Really only 3 good primary sources that I’m aware of. I thought about putting this in the episode but cut it, one soldier wrote about him with the knives but there is no complete English translation I am aware of. The others speak of his hands being cut off but being at the battle not the knives part. I’m skeptical myself but this is how the legend goes.

(The border is the way it is because those “in charge” desire it to be so, make no mistake) AND, do not make the mistake of blaming other unfortunate down on their luck “migrants/immigrants” for coming to US for opportunities, that’s what those in high places want you to do and not to criticize them and the border policies in general.

    The "last ice age" has not yet come to a close. We are still in the same ice age that began roughly 2.5 million years ago. What ended between 20,000 and 12,000 years ago was the most recent glacial maximum, one of many during the current ice age. We happen to be in a warm interglacial period now, again one of many. And this one is not even the warmest. Eventually we will cycle into a glacial period again.

    • @datesanddeadguys
      @datesanddeadguys  2 месяца назад +1

      You are not the first person to bring this up and you’re right. By the time the west was being settled tribes like the Apache or Comanche were overwhelmed with numbers. For example in 1840 there were around 75k white people in Texas and a maximum of 20k Comanche. Probably less. But the conquistadors had a very different situation. It frankly makes no sense logistically. The stories don’t hide this but alliances with other tribes were used constantly. An overlooked element of the clashing of these civilizations is organization. They were so good at getting disdainful neighbors to help them. And this runs true even when white population numbers skyrocket. Crow, Apache, and Tonkawa scouts were invaluable to the US military. Native Americans, especially in North America, lived in truly free societies and they often followed their short term best interests as opposed to trying to organize against the juggernaut coming at them.
      I have debated doing a long video on this topic but I don’t know that people would be interested.

Living there for hundreds & even at times, thousands of years. Before emerging after the flood waters had receded, to live & rebuild on the surface again. One of the best storytellers EVER.
    Interesting the story mentions the Asians coming over to North America from across the Bering land bridge. So true. And guess what else has been found in our recent history? Yes, evidence has been found that makes it clear Europeans have been coming to North America as far back as 70,000+ years ago. An obvious Clovis Point was found on the Eastern Seaboard recently that is at least 70,000 years old.
    It appears the ancient Asians swept east, while the ancient Europeans swept west--and somewhere in between we all met up.
    DNA testing is turning history on its ear. For example, many Indian tribes have taken DNA tests only to discover many of them are over twenty five percent White! Some of them are part Mongolian and Chinese!
    For a closer look at what I'm talking about here, there's another important story to learn about, a RUclips film: "Prehistoric Europeans: The First Native Americans." Archeologists like Dr. Bruce Bradley are in the film and talk about their findings. It's another amazing story about the human species!
    And we humans are in fact a species, not a "race".
