On April 5, former Mav and MLB All-Star Sergio Romo traveled back to Grand Junction for a weekend with students and community.
He signed baseball cards for kids and families. Retired his professional jersey number 54. And threw the first pitch at Friday night’s game against CSU Pueblo.
Sergio’s career was spent playing for the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays.
