I love how much Matty cares for all the younger players like an extension of his family. There must be hundreds of untold stories. Matty your impact on the game is infinite
Mitchell was put probably in one of the most hardest of circumstances especially at origin time but he never gave up & he was so resilient & to see his transformation is amazing! Hes my favourite player, rode all the waves in his career, very glad he's doing well! Great podcast/interview! Pearcey, Matty & Cooper, legends!
What a pod boys, always loved Pearcey
He was a great guest.
Whingey is absolutely the word 😂
You NSW blokes are putting a LOT of pressure and hope on Latrell. Will be interesting to see how he performs.
Great job Matty 🤝 good show
Good on Pearce, it was truly unfair how we treated him
Did Mitch just say I don't like dogging anything 🤔
Cam off the bench l agree example is that when he plays wide he always gets caught out by the defenders. He needs to be in the middle. Last year playing for Australia he played like that out wide he couldn’t even make an impact on the game.
Speaking of Watson; he doesn't remind me so much of Craig Wing, he was more of a finesse player. Connor is more like Shaun Berrigan; a smaller utility who has above average ball skills, that exploits half-gaps with brute strength.
Great take here.
The best advice Mitchell Pearce can offer to his young chargers is "Some people come into your life for the sole purpose of showing you what not to do".
Bellamy should have never picked him in 2008, Matt Orford was not only dally m winner that year but also manly had beaten the roosters 42 to nil just weeks earlier To game 3 teams being named. Manly also beat Brisbane prior to him picking Wallace over Orford before game 1 . Put your ego aside if your origin coach and pick the best player, doesn't matter if he had left your club team to go play somewhere else
I know this is off topic but cooper would off been better playing half back then Karl Lawton on Saturday night against rabbits
Is Latrell is the answer for the Blues? I don't think he can stand up and last against the Mighty Maroons for 80 Minutes and get a win for NSW in game ll..
Great player and great guy. Unfortunately, played in an era of complete Qld dominance
We absolutely agree.
