When I got 1-2 switch on the switch launch night, I bought it because I was expecting the switch version of wii sports. What I got was a deeply limited, gimmicky, disappointing pile of junk and boredom 😆 I returned it the next day. Personally, I wouldn't give the sequel to it a second glance. They actually DID a rather smooth move by quietly announcing the game a few days before a Nintendo Direct show (which was one of the most awesome in recent times) and then releasing it for a discount price. We know following the Direct that we're getting some awesome stuff through the end of 2023 and even into next year!

Data shows the game hadnt really been touched since over a year before launch which explains why the dlc came out so fast and finished screenshots of the game came out long before reveal. Not only that but data suggests that there is ANOTHER fire emblem game that's been held back, likely a Genealogy of the Holy War remake. With both a remake and a new game that brings together characters from across the series its easy to see that these were supposed to be anniversary games like the translation the first game got. Why was it stretched out? There's a lot of theories. To stop FE oversaturation is one but I personally believe that they are waiting to release already finished game to keep giving the switch titles whilst developers work on games for the next system.
If the playtesters themselves despised Everybody 1-2-Switch, then there's absolutely a high chance that it'll almost be like Overwatch 2 or Madden '09 onwards.

From what I've seen from the most recent trailer, the game seems to have some interesting ideas, like some of the games do look genuinely interesting. The only game I got this from was mainly the auction game with little glimpses of hope in some other places. Unfortunately this is the minority as most of the game looks as bland as the original

I think what baffles me is the fact you need a phone for the full experience of other minigames. So, technically, it shouldn’t be a Switch title if you need a damn phone. Probably should’ve released it as a mobile game.
Blech, the horse is so ugly and gimmicky. What a turn off, even if the gameplay is passable. Games like this need video game rental stores to come back to the future in a DeLorean just so people might try it out.
I'll give one thing Nintendo credit: They made this game a hell of a lot cheaper than 1-2 Switch when it first released. Still not a great game especially since people would just play one of the other party games like Mario Party Superstars
better yet, instead of 1-2 horse-crap, they take your idea, but go the distance and make it a full 3-D, one to one story and world conversion, kinda like what the original N64 version of Mother 3 was supposed to be, if I recall correctly...that would be damn gold! Not this stinker! I'm sure that most of the few people who purchased 1-2 switch back in 2017 quickly regretted it, and the few that may have enjoyed it, quickly moved on to something better like ARMS or Zelda: BOTW.....

A buddy of mine ended up buying this game and it was one of those "it's so bad it's good" kind of games. The whole phone gimmick is a cool idea if you're playing through discord but even if you do that you still require joycons for some games and, if you ask me, you're better off getting Jackbox games if you like these kind of party games
