I am about 23 minutes in so I might be jumping the gun here but his discussion of affirmative dialectics doesn't seem like a "new logic". There has always been discussion about the notion of class consciousness emerging within the field of law and the new emerging from the old. Do you think Badiou is stretching things when he says that this is a new logic? What is exactly new about this? That we are "affirming this affirmation"?
