Paint Me Red - Avatar (Band) - Live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 09/20/2023 @ The Diamond Ballroom

Avatar is back in the states for the second time this year, and they’re back with a vengeance. Supporting their new album Dance Devil Dance, the Swedes delivered a crushing eighteen song set that lasted almost two hours!
While the performance showcased their latest musical works, Avatar always returns to their modern roots and ensures they play a healthy selection of songs off of their breakthrough album, The Black Waltz. Although the setlist remains largely unchanged from the spring tour, the absence of the fan-favorite track Paint Me Red was quite noticeable, an alteration that was remedied for the current run of shows.
Despite not being released as a single, Paint Me Red has remained a staple in Avatar’s live shows since it’s 2012 release. The anthemic tune is equally melodic as it is heavy, making you want to both sing along and bang your head. Don’t miss Avatar this fall when they come to a city near you 🤘
