- It was another great day dumpster diving at the University! It had poured all night so we weren't sure what we would be able to rescue, but it turned out to be a great dive. Thankfully we found all that food that we will donate to the free pantry, as well as lots of bedding that will wash up just fine. Any pillows and blankets that are too ragged will be washed and donated to the animal shelter.

I love these videos! It's kind of funny that you are finding food on a college campus because when I was in college nobody had extra food because everyone was too broke all the time!
You can also donate pillows ,blankets,sheets, towels, etc…. to dog rescues ,veterinarians,etc..

I enjoy these college dumpster dives, getting to see you save so much stuff!! I grew up poor and I would have loved some of the things you're finding! I noticed students even threw away toilet paper, who does that? Surely they had room for that! The meds will help the homeless, they probably can't get to a doctor. Keep up the good work. I've been visiting a very sick love one in the hospital this week 💙🙏 I've heard the nurses say there are shortages on medication that they need for patients. I hope you do keep some for yourself.

I use my mop handle unscrewed and put it into paint roller handle. Paint extension handle are expensive. Mine free and does double duty! And I bought swiffer at yard sale.

I absolutely love that you guys are rescuing all this stuff. Just a fyi be careful with medication you find, like the fleets you found had a recall on it a few months ago. Medicine gets recalled a lot.

Great finds today!! It's so sad that those college kids just throw away all that good stuff. But, at least you & Alex are saving a lot of it instead of it going to the landfill. At least y'all can keep, sell, or donate things and it's being reused.

Crazy the amount of perfectly good stuff you two find! I would take and donate my things I didn't want to a second hand shop or the food to the pantry instead of throwing it in the dumpster.

Those black "shaggy " rugs wash up great! My daughter has a cream colored one. We wash and dry it on a low heat. It comes out perfect.

Important grateful your doing this because the waste is indescribably sad. That futon could have been sold on fb market place or donated or even stood upon the side so it might not have been ruined. Even tho that new foam piece was wet, u could have hosed it down at home. It was only rain water. Those foams make ur bed super comfy, like sleeping on a cloud, and u didn’t have to worry about others bed mites since it was new. U just pour diluted bleach water on it, and let the sun dry them. I wash my own that way in the backyard.

I started watching y’all about this time last year! I have been looking forward to this years move out dives. I do have a suggestion, when you find the plastic drawers that are missing a drawer, or part of the side, go ahead and grab them. You can use them for missing parts on other ones! Or you could “Frankenstein” them together and use them to sort and store y’all’s small finds in!!!
P.S. can we get a tattoo tour?!?!?
I said this last year as well.. i think for any of the students living on campus, the schools should be proactive on waste reduction, they should schedule donation pick up days and tell students anything that can be reused , repurposed ect put in designated area's..or have the donation centers stage trucks where they put it right on there.. its a straight forward obvious solution and it teaches the entitled youth to stop trashing everything
They might be so call entitled but it is their money, and they can do what they want.
@vivianminney586 yeah well with that mindset ..I think you need to take your happy self to a landfill ..a REAL landfill, not only where they dump but have to burn bc of the Mass amounts of trash.. and see what discarding all this still usable 'stuff' is doing to the environment YOU LIVE AND BREATH IN. Before you make foolish statements get your head out of the sand and get involved in what happens in your community

Very smart to get out there a week Ahead of time!
The ice cube set you can dices or ground garlic and put these in those cubes to freeze so you have always garlic ready to eat!😊 Bones will love the fur carpet to lay down and relax 😅

I feed the wildlife bagged nuts and granola type snacks. They love it and get fed. I love feeding the critters. I find and insane amount of food as well.
I like that u got that virtually new plastic 3 drawer set. Helps with organizing in the garage.
U guys should invest in a long fish net scooper. They get pick up a lot of small things at once. Hopefully, u find one. It would have been easier for u to just jump in and use the ladder to get out.
