I bought the original athlet, it was ok for about 4 months then the problems started it started becoming intermittent in running and the problem was the connection from the handle to the body, the engineer said it was with too much twisting, we bought the hoover for the manoeuvreability as one of the key features, then the charging wasn’t holding up we weren’t impressed we are Bosch fans but I think this was the straw that broke the camels back we now have a shark corded vacuum which is far superior and no more silly charging
Nice machine. I like the look and it is very quiet compared to the Dyson. One day, hopefully, they will perfect cordless vacuums to the point they will stay charged for a good length of time. I wouldn't mind one of these for quick cleaning.
we got one of these 9 months ago. battery life is very poor when using it for dog hair on turbo mode. the cleaner head stopped working a few days ago but a local Bosch engineer came and replaced it with a new one as the motor had burned out!. it came with a 2 year Warrenty cost £199 new, but feel after that it will just die as it's made in China and of poor quality. good old Henry came to the rescue yet again. we got our Henry 12 years ago for £105 and have never had a single problem with it. yes he is bulky, has a cord with no storage but gets on with the job without fault! simple is the way to go. loving your videos massivly also, keep up the good work.
4/12/17 excellent video with no distracting “music”. Discovered I should have had a spare filter with my Athlet animal cleaner. This was not included, will have to chase supplier.
Thanks for this video. I bought it yesterday but it does not have the extra filter or pet brush so I will be going back to where I bought it and hopefully will get these items....which was the main reason for me buying it.
@@JohnDemetriou It takes around 2 hrs to charge and you can use it for 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs in one go ,depending on the power that you want the vacuum cleaner run on ..
Very old comment now so not sure if you will see this, but how did you get on with the Bosch Athlet over the years? From what I've seen and read in various places people seem pleased with them initially but after a while they seem to have an issue with one of the multiple points of failure.
The Vax air lift cordless is better thought out, and has great pick-up. comes with two batteries that take seconds to fit giving nearly an hour's cleaning. I use it as my main vac for six bed house.
I’m slightly worried after watching this as I ordered the pet one but apparently they no longer make it but Bosch did say Amazon should not have it for sale so they are sending me this one without extra payment but I did like look of original one as tools were onboard and also attach directly to body so I’ll see how it goes if I don’t find it works well enough I will return it and buy a different model so great review and I’ll see what happens I’m not liking that long hose at all I’m wondering if it can be cut down but won’t risk it as will not be able to return it
Mine suddenly stopped working and now searching for solutions. I believe is the battery but... buy new one? Or buy new vacuum? It cost almost €300 and it was purchased on 2017
I bought two bosch pro animal vacuum cleaners and I had problems with both because the contact with the rotating brush came off. I reported them several times in assistance and they adjusted them. But on time they broke. After the warranty, I opened the brush myself and saw how it was made: a shame! with what it costs should be done better! It is inconceivable that a serious company like Bosch has done such a mess !! Short and intricate threads, turning the brush is obvious that they come off or break. But with the engineers you have you do not find a better solution?!? Or maybe you do it on purpose so people have to resort to repairs ?! The discourage for this problem, otherwise it would be a great product. Sin! Lella
My Bosch 25.2v cordless cleaner has stopped picking up dirt and I cannot figure out why. I have only had it 3 years. Any advice? I have always cleaned it out properly after each use. The charging light does not work properly either.
Hi Roger, how is this compared to the BCH65mgkgb? other than extra bits on the animal and bosch claim 75mins on the other model, can't really tell the diff. thanks
What clearance height is needed to go under chairs and furniture? And it didn't seem to clean carpet debris at the edges of the cleaner head . . .. It would help to show working against the skirting board.
It doesn't go very low under furniture at all but the new Bosch Unlimited does. I'll be showing that on my channel very soon, but the head on that doesn't seem to have good edge cleaning but I will test that in the demo video.
Roger, are you familiar with Landaus vacuums? They are made in Italy. Similar to SEBO, they have both commercial and domestic models. One of the neat things with one of the canisters is it blows and sucks at the same time. So you can have one hose attached to the blower and one hose attached to the suction. I imagine this is nice if you are blowing dust out from a radiator and want to suck it up at the same time. They seem like quality vacuums if not a little dated looking. Hope you are having a nice week. Again, thank you for doing all that you do!!
Roger, have you tested anything you think would be good in an office that has mostly wood floors with an area rug? I don't want to spend a lot and want something that doesn't take up a lot of space. There are many stick vacs on Amazon but many of them don't clean carpets/rugs very well. I am trying to come up with something that I can put in a corner that will get the job done and not break the bank. It doesn't need to be cordless just something that picks up well and has a small profile.
I can only comment on machines available in the UK, but I think a bagged cylinder would suit your needs. Go on Amazon, search bagged canister vacuums and sort the results by average customer review, though you get mostly Miele and Numatic vacs to start with. This Hoover commercial model seems reasonable. www.amazon.com/Hoover-Commercial-CH32008-Canister-Vacuum/dp/B00SWGVICS/ref=sr_1_70?s=vacuums&ie=UTF8&qid=1473658677&sr=1-70&keywords=Canister+vacuum&refinements=p_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A11386886011#customerReviews I have been thinking of getting the Vax version.
I thought about that too. I do need a powerhead as the rug has some dark colors and shows everything. I thought about the Felix but kind of pricy. I have a cheap bagless Bissell. It does a fine job on the rug but terrible on the hard floors. Also, there is a little hook for the power cord near the handle and it keeps falling off, which drives me batty. Mostly, I wanted something that isn't very big as I don't have a closet to store it in.
Why is it every time when I have finished vacuuming I have grit falls out of the bottom of the Hoover. I find this very inconvenient as it happens every time and I have to get my dustpan and shovel out to sweep it up.
I have seen you videos about the dyson too, which model of dyson you would compare to this Bosch? My local dealer is having a promotion on getting the Bosch will get me the Bosch BHN1840L and BBZ42TB for free around £270
If then, I'm struggling around the V7/V8, not sure really that extra run-time matters in a small flat, V6... many suggest it isnt that great in comparing with others at similar cost.
If you're not bothered about having to put your hands inside the bin to clear dirt around the central shroud, get a V6. The V7 and V8 models have a cleaner emptying system and a more powerful motorised head.
Andy B have had my cordless dyson V6 animal pro for a bit more than a year now, vacuuming 1-2 times a day every day. Hair and more hair. Full cannister every time. And it does still hold up pretty well
I don't think anyone in their right mind would be looking at a Bosch Athlet to primarily clean above floor and the car, especially when they can't even drive or own their own car. Please review the Dyson V6 Trigger when you get it with your pocket money. Thanks.👍
Very expensive .got one .have it less than yr and handle cracked when pushing it over carpet .very light plastic ..not happy with it .had to buy new handle which contains the wiring another expense .

Unfortunately, it is not offered in the states.
But we have a lovely Hoover (Vax) model (note the sarcasm). Not a fan of Die Soon.

I'm quite happy with mine so far and seldom need to use the turbo setting.
4/12/17 excellent video with no distracting “music”. Discovered I should have had a spare filter with my Athlet animal cleaner. This was not included, will have to chase supplier.
Newer versions may not come with the extra filter, so I would check the contents list in your instruction book first.
Thanks for this video. I bought it yesterday but it does not have the extra filter or pet brush so I will be going back to where I bought it and hopefully will get these items....which was the main reason for me buying it.
I've just brought a cordless morphy Richards 14v vacuum cleaner. great for pet hair and good filter system.
Awesome video mate!! I bought bosch athlet model and I'm totally satisfied with what it offers. Best vacuum cleaner for all types of floors.
How long does the charge take and how long does it last?
@@JohnDemetriou It takes around 2 hrs to charge and you can use it for 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs in one go ,depending on the power that you want the vacuum cleaner run on ..

Lg has made the line of Kompresser it compresses the dirt while you are cleaning so the dirt is very compacted
Handle won't click in as a screw which won't screw in on the flat part of handle insert, stops it from attaching. Help🙄
Very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you
my carpet is in dier straits at the min and just cant get rid of pet hair. im willing to spend up to 200 pounds whats the best vacuum?
dyson DC40

The battery could be failing. 3 years is about average before the battery of a cordless vacuum starts to loose charge and power.
Hi Roger, how is this compared to the BCH65mgkgb? other than extra bits on the animal and bosch claim 75mins on the other model, can't really tell the diff. thanks
I don't know as I've only used this one. It's OK for floors and carpets, but tool use is awkward.

Hey. Will this vacuum cleaner not scratch (destroy) the wooden parquet?
olek olecki would not if you go to 17:30 and look at the label on the floor head it says that parquet works
Why does it come with no manual? Just unpacked mine and no manual in sight.

I am familar with that brand but they are not widely available and I'm not really interested in owning one at the moment unless I see one going cheap.
They don't have them here either. When I saw the simultaneous blowing and sucking feature, I thought of you.

ShrinkDavid 1982 what about a miele? Very strong suction good filtration get one with a turbo brush & it should groom your rugs really well
I'm very Pro Animal myself.I volunteer for my local ASPCA!
You must be a vegan then, as I can't think of anyone who is more pro animal than a vegan.
I don't have to be vegetarian. The cow was.

I am going to currys today to get the run time plus model with 75 min run time what do you think to yours
It is very important to me that animals are treated well though and looked after.
some of the wurst jokes ever made
I have a gs-50 power silenced and it empties in the same way all bocsh bagless mechines empty like that
Wen are you going to do the demo
I prefer a dyson v6 to this because the powerhead is much more power ful
Ok km
Very good bought mine in 2017 , stopped charging today anyone had this problem ? How do i fix it?
Rechargeable batteries only last 2 or 3 years on average, so you may need to get a replacement battery if you are able to fit it yourself.
If you have got time and if its ok can you please do a test putting it against the Dyson cordless vacuum please
I returned the Dyson cordless.
Its look fantastic.
Contemplating replacing my Dyson with this seems more powerful - my current one is not much use with dog hairs
Why is it every time when I have finished vacuuming I have grit falls out of the bottom of the Hoover. I find this very inconvenient as it happens every time and I have to get my dustpan and shovel out to sweep it up.
can you get a numatic Charles and do an unboxing review and demo please
The highlight of the video is min 19:00 with the star on the back! 🥰

so, will the battery die within a year of use like with many other cordless vacuum cleaners?
Probably.
Andy B have had my cordless dyson V6 animal pro for a bit more than a year now, vacuuming 1-2 times a day every day. Hair and more hair. Full cannister every time. And it does still hold up pretty well
Impossible to change the battery
Any chance you could do the BCH7PETGB please?
Ooh, that was close! Nearly bought this primarily for above floor cleaning and the car- Dyson V6 trigger animal it is, then.
I don't think anyone in their right mind would be looking at a Bosch Athlet to primarily clean above floor and the car, especially when they can't even drive or own their own car. Please review the Dyson V6 Trigger when you get it with your pocket money. Thanks.👍
+ibaisaic I have the Dyson v6 flexi which I have and the dc40 which is broken but it is good we're taking it back
What's good, the dc40 or the v6?
did you ever bought and testet Vorwerk Vaccums? Its the Dyson of Germany
Watch this space!
can i usw direct conected without charging and other question if i just wanna use it for parker and sofa and ground i dont have carpet
It's amazing what you have to do to convert the vacuum cleaner for cleaning the sofa or stairs. To me that looks like a lazy engineers idea.
Yes, it's far too much trouble but Bosch continue to use this design in newer models.
I’ve got same vacuum clear my battery doesn’t last more than 5 mins anymore on full charged it’s 15 months old not that impressed if being honest😡
Why is this one better if you have pets, because of the toolkit?
It has an additional brushroll designed to pick up pet hair.
ibaisaic Ah ok, thank you! Is it any good (the brushroll that is)?
Hello the sensor control of this bosch doesnt work
mini şarjlı olarak kullanılamaması eksisi. Diğer yönlerden rakipsiz.
Will you do a comparison of the dyson v6 against the?
No, as I returned the V6.
+ibaisaic or dc35?
This cleans carpets better than the DC35 but is no good for above floor cleaning.
Thats not a UK plug but is a BS1363 plug for GB! Its called a BS plug
Very expensive .got one .have it less than yr and handle cracked when pushing it over carpet .very light plastic ..not happy with it .had to buy new handle which contains the wiring another expense .
so where is that full revue?..
On my channel.
thank you
