    The Top Shagger legend Mike Shellard......Not only the angler who taught me to fish way back in the 70's on this canal, but also my brother-in-law to boot. Will help anyone will Mike, most recently giving me a pole after I smashed mine. Cheers for a cracking video.....tight lines

    Another great video Jamie . Beautiful scenery with a great river. Your fishing partner was saying how weedy it is close to the edge, nowadays I carry a rake with me and I rake the swims before I even start setting up . Jamie I watch loads of fishing videos on RUclips and the 1 thing I have noticed is that BREAD is a forgotten bait, only you and maybe a handful of anglers still use it . To be honest I use it more when I have no bites at all then I get the silver fish in on it . Keep up the good video's mate and good luck.!!.

      @@pleasantville4529 If you get your passport up to date (just kidding btw!) , then they might allow you into Yorkshire, where there's a lot of productive canals. Or even on the Weaver in Cheshire (when the season opens again) which is quite similar to the Gloucester Canal. Don't imagine all the Gloucester Canal is so productive, some bits are very tricky. The LL Canal can be very good around certain basins near Wigan for bream and hybrids and so too the Bridgewater and the Rufford Canal, which is also full of bream, just a case of seeking out the hotspots...tight lines!

    @30:24 wouldn't it be great to get an underwater camera on those liners, James, just to distinguish between them and real positive bites?

    • @cadencefishinguk
      @cadencefishinguk  2 года назад +2

      Yes n no, James may have his own view Pat. But I feel that underwater video kind of removes some of the magic and mystery of fishing. At the same time, it does dispel a lot of myths. I am a bit torn tbh. Tricky to capture too. Chappy
