Hi Arun - Just a thought around resolving huge lag in archives between Prod and Standby apart from the well known solutions . A) Increase the redo size in Primary (Can be done Online) ,so that archive switch becomes slow and eventually the archive generation process gets slow . b) Also,increase the delay time to ship the archives . c) Copy the missing archives and keep them applying on Standby until the gap reduce to a considerate number .

Am also thought metalized view and then apply the changes by running scheduler Job but our internal team said while we migrate from 11g to 12c it creates the impact. 2) 2nd thought is write the trigger on source (after insert) but if the target is down means trigger creates intolerable impact. Finally we are creating view on target database by using DB Link.
Hi Arun, This is not to offend anybody's sentiments..but on going reality in DBA community.. Weak in basics..lacking strong fundamentals and concepts.. Now a days Interviewers are focusing on many areas rather then or limited to subject... Need of the hour is to be part of DBA Community ..... DBA group..... DBA forums..Blogs...Network etc etc ..As you mentioned 👍👌
the answer from you, for standby sync with primary, if long gap,,, go with rman scn backup,, not full incremental backup,,,,, your answer is not correct........

rman scn backup is right method,,, check the exact scn at standby, and create rman backup from primary from that scn,,,,

There are almost no jobs as Cloud DBA. Cloud infrastructure is next. My opinion.
Nobody will publish job title as "We are looking for cloud DBA".
@@dbagenesis if that so may I know how can we search in such cloud dba role?
