The Sheaffer is most definitely worth more than $10

Sheaffers gold inlaid jobs were very nice. Definitely worth some money if you can get it cleaned up.

I've spent 100 on just rotring 600 fountain pens each, so you got a great deal here. (rollerballs seem to go for about as much as FPs normally, but seem more rare)

If that is a real gold inlaid nib... Could be worth something. I always wanted one of those, but they are too expensive brand new.
I have the complete set of black rotrings newton 600. Got them long time ago and used the fountain pen through university... If it were new and unscratched, it would be worth a lot. Still works though. I was lucky last year and found a lava set of ballpoint plus pencil at regular retail price from back when they were in production. The pencil is awesome, the lead is kind of springy so it almost never breaks, perfect for fast writing.

the sheaffer is a targa. Lovely art deco styling and IMHO the most beautiful nib on any fountain pen.

That waterman is salvageable, the nib section is fine, just wash it. Also, it is newer, since it is made in france, and the older ones are made in the USA, before the brand was Rubbermaid owned.

I have one of those Jazz pens in my pocket right now. Use it every day. I have a Schmidt 8127 Capless Rollerball Refill in it and love it. It is the Stainless version. I also have another Stainless one and a Green one like you have there. 3 total. Awesome pens that I bought new from a US seller years ago. I had put them away in a drawer years ago and only recently found them and put this one back in service. Thanks for the great pen reviews. Keep em coming.

If the nib is corroded, I have heard that using toothpaste and rubbing it on the nib can remove light corrosion.

I think some of those other pens could be worth more but I understand being conservative with your estimate.

Yar, you just NEVER know until you clean, adjust (if...), load them up (if...), write, fix (if...); etc.(if...) I have had some really sturdy and rewarding relationships with some bottom o' barrel wierdies. There are great and stupendous plus magnificent steel nibs.... I've been doing this long enough that I can fix just about anything fixable, including some MAJOR SURGERY if so inspired. I write for money, and hence this has a little seriousness to it - I NEED a pen that starts full and writes perfectly until empty, repeat. Etc. I honed my teeth turning the old-style Sheaffer NoNonsense calligraphy nibs into... Rocket Ships, Suave Bed-Eyed Don Juans and Dragon-Slayers. After enough decades I have no problem ripping into the multi-bucky ones, and there's still surprises. SOMBODY ought to tell pen makers that really wide, 1.3ish mm or more eye-talic pens SUCK RANCID DOGGY BY-PRODUCTS and just can't work if really flexy - becuase of the medial nib curve, the tines automatically flex OUT of alignment, it's not.... well, duh. The combination of two cool things = awful, in that particular case. That Sheaffer might be a hidden sweety-pie, on newish I tend to grasp a Pelikan or Aurora, but once you go old, Parker, Sheaffer, Waterman, I like NON-cigar old Monties, um... I'm kinda slutty, really. Why did I write this?
