The 12th Century Encylopedia of Karnataka, known as Manasollasa . It has verses of the local cuisine. " Among meat dishes, the text does not include the meat of cow, horse, elephant, parrot, peacock or eggs. It describes cuisines based on pork, venison, goat meat, and fish among others.[33] "
Dogs and Cats are pets. Nobody should be eating them. That's inhumane. Cow is sacred in Hinduism. It has been like that for thousands of years. But the part i don't understand is, India is the top exporter of "Buffalo Meat".
Buffalo and cow meat are both beef. Banning cow slaughter but not buffalo slaughter is baffling. Banning beef in the country yet being the top exporter of beef - that sure is some food for thought.
Imposing foreign culture upon others won't work in Bharat. It was tried for the past 1400 years. Most people in Bharat have something called Self-Respect.
I have a solution to this unending debate, as apparent even here &, especially, in the comments, which completely ignore the fact that the Bharatiya animal which we call as Gow(Gau) & the Western animal called Cow, ARE DIFFERENT( but closely related) SPECIES OF ANIMALS!!! There are four distinct differences(besides many others, probably) between the GOW & the COW viz. 1- the Gow has a hump between (& above) it's shoulders, while the Cow doesn't. 2- The Gow has loose skin hanging below it's neck, while the Cow doesn't have it. 3 - The Gow's back has a distinctly unduundulating profile, while the Cow has a reasonably straight one. 4- The Gow produces A2 variety of milk (same as a human mother), while the Cow produces A1 variety. While the first three differences have been VISUALLY noticed by most people for the past few centuries, the last one is not obvious & so, noted more recently through very complicated scientific investigation. Hence, just STOP CALLING THE BHARATIYA ANIMAL AS COW & CALL IT AS 'GOW'. This will allow those who want to slaughter the Cow & not object to a ban on the slaughter of of a PURE-BRED 'Gow'. The complication created by mix-breeding of the two (Btw, mix-breeding is scientifically possible only between 'closely related' species, as in the case of Horse-Donkey, Lion -Tiger etc etc), mainly during the past 70 odd years, can be temporarily easily overcome by adding 'Pure-bred' before the term 'Gow', until the drive in Bharat (also in Brazil and some other pockets all over the world) to re-prolifirate the 'Pure-bred Gow' species, succeeds mainly through uncontrolled slaughtering of the mix-bred Cows! A few more points, if you please -1- Bharat treated the Gow as a producer of Bulls(which were essential for hard work in Agriculture & TRANSPORTATION), while it's milk production was a bye-product, since the she-buffalo was the main source of milk(which also produces A2 variety of milk, Btw). 2- The Gow has been almost a loved pet of the Bharatiya household, from ancient times, even supported by loving references in Bharatiya prose & verse throughout (this will especially appeal to the 'pet lovers'). I stop here, though more arguments are available! Conclusion - Let the Cows be merrily slaughtered (by whichever of the two methods), while supporting the ban on Gow slaughter 🙏
Good job on the research! Please do comment on Boss Indicus restriction - a la Dr Subramaniam Swamy? Excellent work on the 85% of screen slide deck visusl Sreeji!🎉 More visuals like this, please im future!❤
You guys are hypocrites, if you don't eat beef, then don't eat, if don't like killing cows, then don't kill. But why you guys bannned importing of beef by those that eat?
Vegetarians say 'ugh aaah ' to non veg food, however, they have no problem wearing silk sarees, veshti etc.they don't want to even think about it. Such hypocrisy. What about ahimsa of the silk worm which are killed in the most cruel way. I request you to talk about this
While we criticize Western hypocrisy over beef ban and cow slaughter, it's also important to look at the hypocrisy of vegetarians who are okay with cows getting sexually violated and eventually slaughtered just so they could continuously drink dairy, all while looking down on meat eaters. Dairy is liquid beef. True compassion for animals would lead one to veganism. Not vegetarianism.

Informative. Many thanks for the exercise made to collect so much information
Brilliant presentation ! This is really eye opening 👏👏👏👏
Great Analysis. Jai Bharat
When someone bring up beef ban in India, I always mention the ban of dog and cat meat in the western world. That makes them thinking and wondering.

Your choice of topics is amazing and well researched ❤
60 Percent of Indians are Eat Both Non-Veg and Veg. People who live in the Coastal Areas eat Fish. Somewhere I read Bengali Brahmins eat Fish as well.
That's true, Bengalis call fish the vegetable of the sea! 😅

SRI PRABHUBADA BENGALI BRAHMIN SAINT CREATOR OF ISCON WAS VEGAN.
@@Sudden570Even in Coastal Karnataka, fish is also known as "need badnakai" ie vegetable of the water.

Very well researched Mohanji… this has given us some solid data points to support the beef ban .. dhanyavaad 🙏🏼
Super happy I found this channel. Honesty.
You missed deer (veal) & rabbit. It’s a pawed animal not hooved yet many eat it

Very good information about recent developments and news analysis..🙏.👍👌.
India can do whatever it likes. if they do not like it, they can stay out. nobody tells hindus what they should allow or not to eat.
Even when they talk of hindu they insult us by using beef up when can use other words
Why don’t the bigots talk of Pork ban in the Western Asia and dog meat ban in US!
Mohan ji super
