The Kennedy Presidential Library and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation commissioned Northern Lights to create a nine minute film of the State Funeral for President John F. Kennedy.
My family stood on Arlington Bridge on the day of President Kennedy’s funeral. The bright cold day, the silence of the vast crowds, the sound of the horses clopping on the bridge and drums in the air and the quiet sobs of my parents and others around us as the caisson passed by are forever burned in my memory. I still feel the sadness and loss all these years later.
It’s like the color brings it to life. It makes it real. Not just a still picture or snippet on the history channel. My god 😔 what a time to be alive, the people of this generation have strength beyond words...
That little untold story that final military salute Queen Anne's Drill or Funeral Drill given by 26 members of The Irish Army Cadets School at the request if The First Lady ,those were the guys in the bottle green uniforms and kakhi pants with brown boots.,the fallen Chieftain rendered proper burial rights it was Hail to the Chief.
I've never seen this footage in such high definition with color. For some reason it makes it even more haunting and reminds you that it really wasn't that long ago.
There is in fact evil in this world, but peace and unity will always prevaile .Peace will always outnumber evil.Peace in our humanity will bring us together. Peace is not free but it is a human choice.

We too, stood on that bridge that day. Still remember the procession vividly.

We walked the 40 blocks starting at 10pm Sunday nite and finally were able to go in Capitol at 7 30 am.

Some of the scenes look very modern even today but then the camera pans to the hats and you know its 1963.

Wonderful presentation. Brought back alot of memories. Hope we find out the true story behind the assassinations of JFK and Bobby.
