I've been using this audio for a few days and it really helps me sleep. My mind starts to create this story about this man trying to fall asleep in WW2 and unbelievably I fall asleep every time.
My great-grandfather was a paraglider in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division, stationed in Britain, Germany and parts of Poland. He helped liberate Wöbbelin , a German concentration camp that was a subcamp of the Neuengamme camp. Although there is footage of it, he is not present in the footage. He was not only a hero to so many, he was my hero. He gave me my first guitar, which I learned to play on when I was 4 years old, which I still own to this day, it is my workhorse and I will make it famous. He was the kindest soul and he lived a good long life, thank you and to all the other RUclipsrs who preserve these priceless articles of history! R.I.P. Robert G. Anderson, 1926-2017

My grandfather earned the silver star in ww2. He was in the army. He essentially raised me when I was young as my father was active duty navy and often deployed. My grandfather never told me a single detail about his experiences of ww2 no matter how much I wanted to know. He never told anyone in our family. While he was in the hospital once, I asked him for some details for a school project and he talked about how France was beautiful and then immediately bursts out in tears. I have a high level of respect for all veterans and I wish I was able to learn about my grandfathers deployment in ww2 before he passed. But I will never know. He is buried at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetary in Wrightstown New Jersey along with many other heroes. He always had a manhattan with his steak.
my grandfather fought in WW2, and while he died very early on in my life, I found out through my father that this was the one thing he'd talk about from the war, laying up at night in some random part of Europe listening to the mayhem around him.
This is so amazing. I can Imagine how you could expand on the images and sounds, a full motion cartoon, faint radio in the background for a minute playing 1930’s European jazz, soldiers talking or yelling in the distance, animal sounds since they’re in the field, cigarettes being lit and puffed on. oh man, this is too cool!
Ah yes. Brings back memories of trying to sleep in my fox hole. Clutching my rifle close to my chest and making sure it's loaded. My comrade whispering, "when will this be over?" And the sound of rain water collecting in our helmets just so we can have clean water to drink, but it still tastes like smoke and gunpowder. It's hard to sleep with this sound coming from all around you, but the toughest sound is the one that your own stomach makes. Dawn will be soon now.

My grandfather fought in the Pacific Theatre, was on the first tank that landed and survived Iwo Jima, was involved with the Invasion of Japan, fought in Guam and various other islands, had his custom tank equipped with a flamethrower (his crew was tasked with clearing foxholes and caves, a very grueling job). A great man, never got to meet him. Heard so many stories. My other grandfather passed fighting the Soviet in the rebellion, uncles and cousins in that family either died fighting the Nazis in Poland (or other parts of Eastern Europe) or died by the hands of Communists. The remaining relatives survived the camps (Soviet camps) and fled to safety. My family is full of stories, legacy, heroism, curses, and more. This brings it back and always makes me think how lucky I am that I don’t get to experience what they went through.
The slow and peaceful movement of people and vehicles in the foreground is calming paired with the intense fire fight and artillery and aircraft in the background causing slight panic, the sound design is just absolutely amazing, gives you just a little glimpse of what it would be like for a soldier just outside the front

@mathildabtw thanks for the feedback. I always create my stuff from scratch and never loop stuff , every section will be different
We need this on Spotify lol
Maybe down the line
My dad was in the front lines in Vietnam back in ‘68-’69. He couldn’t even handle the battle scenes in Forrest Gump. No way he would find this as a source of soothing ambiance.
I understand 🫡 Thanks for the comment 🙏🏽
Everywhere in Vietnam was front lines. Farmer by day, VC by night. Mama san, cook, rickshaw, cyclo.
I love the one guy just hanging around
Thanks for watching
Nothing excites me more than these sounds i love this
Hey thanks a lot , check out my other war ambience which you may also like

The fact that this actually put me to sleep yesterday concerns me. But I'll take what I can get, and I'm finna listen to it again tonight.
😂 whatever helps I guess thanks for watching more to come ..🙏🏽
The mortar depicted on the hill looks like a modern USA M224A1 mortar being manned by a WW1 British soldier lol. Loved the sound scape btw, probably my favorite!
😅 haha I didn’t even realise , more war soundscapes to come, thanks for listening
The closest British soldier is also holding a Thompson going off the shape.
@@crawler6019 that one im okay with because several variants of the Thompsons were sent to the British (can't tell you when but they did have them, probably not during ww2)

I actually enjoy sleeping while this plays...guess I'm making up all the sleep I lost 50 years ago.
Haha thanks for watching 😀
This makes me think of what my great grandfather went through in his time, he survived not one but both of the world wars, sadly I never got to meet him😢, but when I go through a hard time, I think about how my great grandfather went through 100 times more…..
Also how if he was here and I played this he would get the trenches dug and put up some sandbags😂
Indeed , they went through unimaginable things. We are lucky to be living in relative peace thanks to them
Nothing is more scarier than the sound of a Stuka siren wailing overhead
👍🏽thanks for watching
Congrats on 1M views! Well deserved!
Thanks bro appreciate it 😀
I actually really enjoy these kind of sound things it gives me alot of mixed feelings but its also very calming and relaxing in a wierd way plus this is free therapy isnt so huge pro
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽 whatever helps you I guess 👍🏽

For the past two months I’m sleeping with this on background. Changed my life in better!!
Hey thank you I’m glad it helped 🙏🏽
This is truly art omg
Thanks 🙏🏽
Mmm yes. Sirens and distant gunfire as it rains mortar and artillery fire.
Quality relaxing. Im sleeping 24 hours
Thanks for watching 👍🏽
Whats comforting about this is both sides holding position no body is raiding the artillery is distant and it makes me feel like help is on the way
Ah yes great analysis thanks for watching, I have more war ambiences on my channel feel free to check them out 😀
This is art. The amount of time you spent doing this must been insane. Keep the good work 👏
Thanks a lot for watching , and yes these ambiences do take a while to make in terms of sound design , I have a “ how I made this three part video on the process “ do check that out .. everything is made from scratch . 🙏🏽
where is the updated biden, austin "trans" version with "right said fred" playing in background?
@@tailwind12oddly specific, mate
Sounds like south side Chicago on Friday night. Great imagery and sound.
Thanks a lot I appreciate it
Very relaxing. My grandpa started yelling "Medic!" I think he was very immersed and enjoyed it too :)
😅😅 thanks for watching
Ngl I took a nap to this and it was actually kinda nice 💀
😅 glad you enjoyed it more to come
My great grandaddy fought in WWII, his father in the First, and now I’m falling asleep to this lol.
Thanks for watching bro
Superb realistic war scenery! The gruesome image of the hanged rebel soldier in the background further adds to the realism!
Thank you very much 😀 check out my war ambience playlist which you may also like 👍🏽
Wow 🤩 Very Realistic & Immersive. Like The details With Tanks Going By In The Distance Too
Thanks for always supporting 😊
Every ww2 game from the 2000s had a sound like this I believe lol
Ah interesting, remember playing all the medal of honour games back then , loved that game.
yeah a lot of the cod games placed in ww2 had an ambience like this
My inspiration came from playing Medal of honour as a kid back in the day.
The siren and that stuka bomb diving woke me up.
🤣🤣
listening to this while i plan a bachelor party. badass
😂
That's SO well done!! Just don't have words to describe it. Maybe the best video of this genre I've ever seen. Keep up the awesome work!!
Thank you for your kind words glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏽🙏🏽 more to come soon 😀
Crazy as it seems, this is the best sleep aid I have ever used. Works every time.
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Just imagine being a soldier in a bunker trying to get some sleep and you hear this while laying in bed, nightmare fuel
Absolutely crazy, can’t imagine the torment they went through. Thanks for watching more to come
👍🏽
Check out my new WW1 trench war fare ambience which is more intense 😀
If i close my eyes i start seeing the war and i actually somehow fall asleep to it
Glad it helps 😀
NIGHTMARE INDUCING.
The sounds of airplanes falling out of the sky is chilling.
Living in Brooklyn NY in the 80s and 90s, gun shots were always prevalent. Still scary. I'd never get to sleep listening to this.
AWW HELL NAW!
Thanks for watching, some people use this for sleep 🤷🏽♂️ some for study , some for gaming.. I just create the immersive soundscapes . Stay safe bro
This is what my great grandfather had to listen to when he was in Belgium 1917-1918
Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
What a relaxing sound
Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
The way I actually fell asleep to this, very soothing and comforting in a weird sense.
I’m glad it helped you sleep. Check out my war ambience playlist for more 😀
Better get used to this now, it's more relevant than ever
I can just image this is what it was like for some soldier that had no choice but to hide in a hole and had to listen to this for hours
Yep crazy isn’t it , thanks for watching 🙏🏽
