Although this seems to take after the unrealistic scenario from "The Day After Tomorrow," this was an interesting video to say the least. I've always been fascinated with how dramatically the climate has varied over the last 20,000 years. While a long time (on a human timescale), it's crazy to think that the Laurentide Ice Sheet practically disappeared in just a few millennia, with the most substantial retreat taking place from 14,000 years ago until 8,000 years ago. Note that the Laurentide Ice Sheet did persist in some areas well into the Holocene (our current interglacial), especially around Hudson Bay and northern Québec. In terms of length of time on a human timescale, this period of most substantial retreat is similar to the length of time between the first human civilizations and the present time. If human civilization had developed towards the end of the last glacial period (rather than during the Holocene), such changes would not go unnoticed. Even in the absence of civilizations, there are cultures with strong storytelling traditions that have passed down stories for many millennia with a fair degree of accuracy. Case in point: some aboriginal Australian stories date back to the end of the last glacial period, telling of times where sea levels were lower, and of times when sea levels rose: www.scientificamerican.com/article/ancient-sea-rise-tale-told-accurately-for-10-000-years/ On another note, northern Québec and Labrador are actually ideal regions for the nucleation of the next Laurentide Ice Sheet, although such an event would take place at a (need I say it?) glacial pace. We would first need a cooling climate for something like this to happen, however. It takes longer to go from interglacial conditions to glacial maximum conditions (around 90,000 years) than it does to go from a glacial maximum to an interglacial (10,000 years); the climate history demonstrates that glacial maxima tend to occur towards the end of the glacial period. Within a glacial period, interstadial (warmer)/stadial (cold) cycles also seem to involve more abrupt warming with a gradual cooling: www.nature.com/scitable/knowledge/library/abrupt-climate-change-during-the-last-ice-24288097/ Although sudden climate changes can and do take place (consider both the start and end of the Younger Dryas, with a very abrupt cooling at the beginning and a very abrupt warming at the end), the overall long-term patterns show a gradual cooling with a more rapid warming. It is these abrupt climate changes, regardless of whether it is abrupt warming or abrupt cooling, that we have to worry about. I do wonder if agriculture and/or human civilization could have developed earlier what that might have looked like; agriculture first developed during the early Holocene and the first civilizations appeared during the mid-Holocene. I wonder if climatic instability might have precluded the development of agriculture prior to the start of the Holocene? The end of the last glacial period would have been a very unstable climate, although I wonder if this would actually be a factor when you consider human timescales (abrupt climate change would be devastating if you were unlucky enough to experience it in your lifetime).

Excellent work, there! Keep it up! It's cool with an actual person speaking and asking for help, giving it a nice mood and a sense of eerieness to it. I will add extra points for the last broadcast being done in both English and French. I still await an EAS scenario with English-broadcasted alerts taking place in either Nigeria, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, The Philippines, Cyprus, Ghana, Kenya, Singapore, Lebanon, UAE, Greece, The Netherlands, or Germany. The last three, and also Pakistan are mentioned because a large percentage of people there can speak English. Over half of Pakistan's population can speak it. In India, over 125 million people can speak English there, compared to The Philippines' 64 million English speakers, so that's why I'm awaiting an EAS scenario in either Nigeria, Pakistan, or India. Lastly, nearly 180 million people in Nigeria speak English.
This was a great video as always. The french lines at the end really give this a different vibe. And, regarding this theme... Please do a snowpiercer themed EAS scenario.
Excellent, especially poor Jacques at the end. One thing, though... you make several references to states (like "Quebec State"), mostly in the first segment, even though Quebec is still clearly part of Canada in this story.
Researchers used data on Earth's orbit to find the historical warm interglacial period that looks most like the current one and from this have predicted that the next ice age would usually begin within 1,500 years.

Is this the first video from Alert World that contain human voice?
Great video, would be very cool if you do collab with Atlas Fallout.
no all of these are bot voices
Hmm I think it’s indeed the first one!
Nevermind i didn't watch full video
@@JordanOnlyJordan3524 watch and think before you speak
@@TBA_EAS most of the video was made by a bot voice lol
as a canadian, we do not care about any cold, not even mount everest effects us
I've gotta say, it's relatively humorous listening to this whilst traveling through the Desert
6:21 "and all citizens are expected to apply first-aid and *common sense* while heading to the shelters"
Looks like Pranksters and TikTok Influencers are freezing first.
I love how these EAS stories just gradually descend to chaos while basically no one can see the EAS bc either they're dead or have no power
As a Canadian, I can confirm that it does not matter if it isn’t winter, it can and will snow at any given moment.
I came across from your channel, and wow. Your Scenarios feel so realistic. Keep up the good work!
"give the authorities all of your devices, but check the news anyway" that's totally something the government would tell us to do lmaooo
"Tri-State Area"
I guess Dr. Doof is now unstoppable
So, just a typical day in Canada?
Yeah. My igloo is currently surrounded by polar bears.
@@theonlyeye1170 yuppp. And I’m just chilling on my PS5 in my igloo
I have Tims in my igloo, you guys want some?
Yep
You guys have igloos?
the most unrealistic part about this is that they posted an EAS for like 3 feet of snow lol
it's Canada, that's like a Tuesday to them
"school will be cancelled" That's how you know its real shit
Researchers used data on Earth's orbit to find the historical warm interglacial period that looks most like the current one and from this have predicted that the next ice age would usually begin within 1,500 years.
That one online player who is so salty he can melt the snow
This is so cool! One of my new favourites! Please make a part 2!
Jesus Christ, this is one of your best, purely because of that last part. Beat out the Australian one by just a hair. Well Done, my Guy! I wish i could do as well as you
Really smart to say there was a previous french message! One thing too note though is canada has provinces instead of states.
>Quebec
>State
>Govt messaging in English
This eas would kill more Quebecois than an ice age would.
The coordinates at the end of the video lead to a Canadian Department of Transportation building.
The only unbelievable bit here is that Quebec isnt a separate entity already 🤣🤣
canadians:
*"it's just a little chilly out"*
May 15th, 2029 - The day it starts raining poutine.
Thank god Quebec is gone, I almost thought this was important
Love it! Only issue I have is calling them states instead of provinces. Aside from that awesome work! :)
As a candian boy I can confirm this is a average Monday in winter 🥶
Dr Doofenshmirtz really stepped up his game
I honestly wonder how you make these. Like is it super in depth or can one of these be popped out in like a day or so? Its great work!
I wished it can be done in a single day unfortunately it takes me more than that. Sometimes I get some help with the script which helps a lot.
@@alertworld wait do you think I can help?
@@alertworld I like your work a lot. I actually gave a crack at making one today. Its fun. But its a pain to find all the sites you want to use for it. And text to speech is such a pain. Its a lot of stuff. But your work is great and its honesty quite inspiring. I plan to start making some as a hobby, and see where it goes. Please keep making these amazing scenarios. 🎉 I especially find your backgrounds amazing. I like how it moves and actually shows thing out unlike many other EAS videos. I’m sure with enough skill and experience I could possibly pull off something similar.
POV: *You forgot to kill that one snow golem in minecraft*
This looks like a future dystopian EAS :D
Amazing detail, especially the voice acting in the end of the video. The attention to detail is insane and this would be a beliveable scenario. Great job!
Great video! I am always fascinated of your skill to make so nice EAS scenairos and the story is very nice
I really liked the last Broadcast, it give this a much stronger effect than if the last broadcast would have been spoken from the computer voice too
As a Canadian, I can confirm that I’d have to still go out and shovel it the day after.
At 3:16 I thought the stove was a tank and thought “yeah that’ll keep you warm”
As a Canadian Citizen I can tell you that this is normal, this happens about every day
The voice acting at the end is perfection 😭
“The tri-state area” DOOFENSHMIRTZ WHAT DID YOU DO
he overused his new weathernator 😨
The thing I like about these types of EAS is that they actually use the bot voices from alarms, announcements on like train stations and some other stuff
So the rest of Canada is just watching this happen lol
6:24 “apply common sense” that had me killed 😭
I know a couple groups of people who will have trouble doing that. And yes, I’m being nice by assuming it’s possible for them to have common sense.
Like all the people who starved to death due to no food in the video
You mean to tell me Canada isn't like this already?
Something like that already happened before, like the Eastern Canadian blizzard of March 1971 🙂
The Day After Tomorrow as an EAS scenario
I can’t wait for the day where we can control weather, because at times it feels like we are being “controlled” by the weather, and this video perfectly portrays the impending sense of dread you would normally feel if this was actually happening.
We are controlling the weather, the Earth is getting warmer because of us.
@@_Siloam_ Ah, I see what you did there…
@@goofyahdemoman1134 What?
@@_Siloam_ We’re not really controlling the weather, purposely. That has to be a global warming joke.
@@goofyahdemoman1134 Oh... I didn't even mean it as a joke
POV: Canada in the day after tomorrow
Also great video!! :)
I find a lot of EAS videos to be fairly cringe especially with the voice acting.. You've changed my opinion on it. What a fantastic video and idea.
Don’t worry about us, this happens every 2 weeks in Canada.
6 days later that this was posted there would be a Storm in Quebec great enough to activate EAS, unfortunately, I was outside as it was happening and saw all those red screens through the homes windows and was in a rush to get back in my house, back at my house with my now Girlfriend, there was a power outage for 1.5 days
Mild nitpick - Canada doesn’t have states. We have provinces and territories. In this case, Quebec is a province.
Amazing, but only one little discrepancy. At the beginning, the alert listed “Quebec and surrounding states” in Canada, we have provinces, not states. Just breaks the immersion for a Canadian a little.
I just took it as applying to Maine and New Hampshire
