Hi, thanks for the great video. There is something I can't figure out with my X-S10: when the dial is in one of the 4 Custom Modes, and the shooting mode is P, the front wheel still controls the Shutter Speed. Why is that? (on the contrary, when the dial is in P, there the Shutter Speed is automatic, so I would expect it to be the same even in C1-C4 with P as shooting mode)
@@Reggiebphoto I actually found out what is the setting that triggers it: when in P shooting mode, if the DR is set to Auto, the only setting I can change is the ISO. When DR is not set in Auto (i.e. 100%, 200% or 400%), the front dial regulates the Shutter Speed. In this case the P program is sort of an S program, isn’t it? Why is that?
@@ptgood This is called "Program Shift". When in this mode you can change Fstop value with the front dial and shutter speed will change with it to compensate and hold the exposure you have currently set by the exposure compensation dial (back dial).

I’m not sure how to fix that
@@Reggiebphoto I actually found out what is the setting that triggers it: when in P shooting mode, if the DR is set to Auto, the only setting I can change is the ISO. When DR is not set in Auto (i.e. 100%, 200% or 400%), the front dial regulates the Shutter Speed. In this case the P program is sort of an S program, isn’t it? Why is that?
I’m not sure.
@@ptgood This is called "Program Shift". When in this mode you can change Fstop value with the front dial and shutter speed will change with it to compensate and hold the exposure you have currently set by the exposure compensation dial (back dial).
Hi Reggie, just got my X-S10 and put some film recipe/simulation on my C1 and C2. When I shoot on those settings, there's always a "Storing" and loading after I shoot a photo. It doesn't happen when I'm on M settings. How I stop that? Is there a setting for that? Thank you so much!
turn off the clarity setting.
@@Reggiebphoto thank you so much!
Did it fix it?
@@Reggiebphoto yes! Thank you. But why is it like that? I mean, is it an issue on XS10 or all the new Xtrans sensors?
It’s not an issue. Clarity just takes processor time to apply the effect.
Can the front wheel be set to Aperture and shutter if I'm using a lens with no aperture ring?
Yes
since there is no marked-up mechanical dial for exposure compensation, is there a way to reset the Exposure compensation to zero after a shot?
I would like to know this as well
Do you know why for the IS mode, there is no “off” setting for me?
Where is or how to set up itw Exposure Compensation button/dial? Thank u. 0

can you turn off ibis by switching off ois on your lens?
I don’t believe so
I see a blue metallic sparkly vertical line sometime in my EVF. Anyone know what that could be? It seems to move or go away if the shutter speed changes or during autofocus
I am unable to change the left top dial to ISO or any other setting. The only options I get are Default, Default (+_ when set to M) and _None. Very frustrating Please help
