I like how in CS2, using a HE grenade at a smoke grenade will make it temporary disappear completely, allowing you to see for a moment before the smoke comes back again. Reliable strategy if you try to push through smoke without getting shot from the other side.
Css c4 explosion is by far the best it interacts with the world and destroys it and even sets it on fire for example in inferno if its planted under house it breaks the roof
I mean, in CS2 it could be possible in 100% without even looking at source code of game. It's just laziness of mappers for official maps that don't want to spend extra time to implement such a cool detail and thing.

The smoke grenade before 1.6 was much worse. It would take ages to produce adequate cover.
It was instant, the problem was that people that played in 16 bit could see right through, while 32 bit was proper thick.
