I would say Michael larson but that would be too common. maggie brown was so quirky it was funny. steve bryant (NO WHAAAAAAAMMMIIIEEEES) was funny (especially when he was playing against the house, asking peter if he could pass his spins to him.) the infamous jim hess episode (try as they might the couldn't delete the expletive after hitting a whammy on the last spin of the game)

I think Karen was the first REALLY energetic stand-out contestant, there have been a few others to this point, but she's the one.
