I love the ADDY mold. I love how versatile the mold seems as you change the wigs or outfits. WOW a saved by the bell reference. My #85 needs a new head as the hair has seen better days. She looks great in Rebecca school outfit. It is like a family reunion.
@@nailahvenable7989 I think the first time I saw her in person I was just like 😳😍, but she isn’t always photogenic. And the more I saw her in variations, the more I saw how amazing her sculpt really is. Like you said, wigs, eyes, outfits all make such a big difference on her-and it just makes me want more and more of her 🤣
Oh no! The 85 wig is so nice! Can it not be brought back to life?
@@DisBlaineI tried but it is kind of fuzzy like a half afro. I want her to look like new with defined curls. It is like how you felt with your Felicity before you got the new wig she was ok but not exactly what you want. I am not the doll repair girl so i use my rewards to upgrade my dolls as they need it mostly it is restringing for the older girls since I don't want the newer heads. I called the doll hospital and they still had heads so i plan to send her in once i come back from vacation.

Hey Blaine! I could watch Addy all day and be happy! Awesome collection! Love to see your your girls with perfect hair and expertly tied bows! If you haven't seen the complete PC Addy collection, there is a you-tube channel called Michelle darling, and she shows it in its entirety! I only have two Addys. One is PC and one Historical. PC Addy is more mature in appearance, so I named my other one Esther, pretending she is her grow up little sister from the books. You will love your PC Addy-hope you have a box opening!😊 Thank you for generously sharing your girls again!

@@DisBlaine Yes. I have 2 Pleasant Company Addy, Beforever Addy, and the new one they just released. I have two Of number 77, 58, 26, 31, 85. I have one Addy that someone modernized, and I just ordered another one. My Addy dolls are displayed in her different outfits.

Hi Blaine. I love Elsie. She is so adorable. I know what you mean about the Addy sculpt growing on you. I felt the same until I got my PC Addy and I fell in love. I love the sculpt best on the Addy character but you have some really cool dolls with that mold. Always fun to watch and hear your childhood stories. 😄🙏

You know I consider Addy a character doll and I am more into fantasy so I don't have any dolls in that mold. After watching this if I come across one at a very good price I think I will pick one up. I just love how creative you have been with her. Thank you.

@@DisBlaine You know I take that comment about character dolls back, I have an almost complete collection of Disney ILY 18 inch dolls. I just love those dolls. I am making Halloween outfits for all of them so that they can go to the Hogwarts's party. I have that train and all the costumes. So I do love character dolls and mix them with fantasy I just change out the display on my dinning room sideboard and piano. People think I have lost it. If I were younger I would collect the 11-12 inch Barbie sized ILY ones with all those clothes.

@@DisBlaine Well I gave up my profession of which I have a DNP and 2 masters to practice full time energy work, and in my free time instead of traveling to the islands, golfing, or playing tennis (I am in Florida mind you) I collect dolls and sew. Not quite the norm.

So funny this is the second video in two days I have watched about a doll who has a name she doesn’t like. The other one was AG takes over with her doll Rosalie. I have a doll named Edwina and in my story she is named after a relative and is mortified by it and tries to go by Winnie, but it doesn’t quite stick. Did we all have a friend like this growing up?? 😂

ADDY MOLD = FAVORITE MOLD. Well, tied with the Claudie mold at this point, for me, but there aren't as many Claudie mold dolls yet, so it's hard to see the variety and versatility of the mold just yet. But the Addy mold is my fav. I only have 3 Addy molds right now - Addy, 58 (your Elsie), and 26 - but I desperately want an 11 at some point. It's truly a shame that AG hasn't utilized the Addy mold a lot more - they only have 12 dolls total with it, out of... somewhere around 200ish dolls? 121 TMs, 25 GOTYs, 25 historicals, and then special editions and Disney... yeah, around 200ish dolls. 12 Addy molds. Make it make sense. My kingdom for more Addy mold dolls. I love the story of Evan and her name - it gives her such a personality. (And it's NOT dumb to have these stories and quirks for your dolls!) It's really amazing how different all your 77s look. I also enjoyed hearing about Elsie's time traveling travails. And Oneka is my favorite, as always. I just adore that wig on her. Looking forward to your PC Addy and your Josefina mold video (even if Josefina molds are... a challenge).

Good point that she only makes up 6% of the dolls!! Very suspicious. I wonder what percentage the classic dolls make up…
And Addy dolls are so expensive! That’s why I keep doing CYOs of her. It’s cheaper than chasing her old tm dolls…
@@DisBlaine Addy dolls ARE so expensive. It's because they're relatively rare, since, as you point out, they make up 6% of the dolls. And then you factor in the common toy wisdom of "Black dolls don't sell" (whether or not that is real wisdom is... debatable...), which means they made fewer of each Addy mold doll, and... you get relative scarcity. I feel like a lot of Addy mold dolls are only appreciated after they retire. Which is just sucky. It may be why there is exactly ONE Addy mold available in the TM line right now, and TWO available overall, since Addy herself is still available in a few forms. Meanwhile, you can't spit without hitting a Josefina mold. /rolls eyes To be an old crank for a moment, the fact that the Josefina mold is so incredibly popular DESPITE THE FACT THAT MOST OF THEM ARE DEFECTIVE IN SOME WAY while the Addy mold, which rarely has defects, is largely ignored is very frustrating. Josefina is beautiful mold, but it's SO overrepresented these days. Give me Claudies, give me Addys, give me Makenas. I want more dolls from the molds that are designed to represent POC features. (I also want dark-skinned dolls in the molds that haven't had them yet; I really would love a dark-skinned Joss mold or a dark-skinned Jess mold or a dark-skinned Kaya or Nanea or Marie-Grace.) (Uh. Sorry for my tirade on your RUclips page. There is a lot of things about AG that I can be more chill about, but representation is, um. Not one of them.)
@@DisBlaine Oh, and I just counted. 84 classic mold dolls, or thereabouts. So... that's... 42%? Versus 6% for Addy mold. Which is only a few years older than the classic mold and was the second mold ever. (Josefina, the fourth oldest mold, has 37 dolls with it, so 18.5% or so.) (And yes, I just went down a rabbit hole.)

It’s between daycare and first grade. We start junior kindergarten around 4 years old, then senior is the next year.
