Maybe for your seating chart you could have groups, but all of the groups are competing to get the most points by the end of the day. You could give points to groups who are quiet, working together, paying attention, etc. This would be a nice way to bring the group-mates together. It’s worth a try?

This shows that you will allow students to exhale and let off some of that whatever grows in them when they feel like they are being worked out if you will but in a clean fun and safe way where everyone ends up enjoying the moment and the students end up making a Kodak memory with the adults in the building that I am willing to bet that they wish that they could have a picture taken of and when the school year ends will be the memory that they will be talking about for the rest of their lives . I forgot about pie day, and one of my team teachers brought pie for her entire class. I felt so bad. We celebrated a belated pie day in my class on Friday. It was a lot of fun!

My seating chart always has bombs. It doesn’t matter. It just depends on what bombs I want to manage or can tolerate. When parents don’t pick up by 5 even though the activity ends at 4:45 lol

I’m just amazed that you have a TA for 4th grade. In my district only Pre-K, K, and some special ed have TAs. I would like you to talk more about what she is allowed to do/what all her duties are. Do you share her with all the 4th grade team?
Yes! Our entire 4th grade team has 1 TA... not every grade level at my school has one... it is only due to our large numbers of students! The grade levels with the most students get a TA for that school year if that makes sense. She helps us to make copies/grade in the morning when students come in and during our planning time and then she rotates between classes during our blocks. So each 4th grade teacher has her in their class for about an hour a day to support students!
I’m not sure how you attach subtitles as a creator but as someone who is hard of hearing it would be so so so helpful to have, so that the deaf/HOH community can watch your videos a little easier!!
Why do you grade so many assignments? Like I know you have lots of students and different classes, but you seem to have lots of assignments that you take as grades
