    Nice lesson in the spirit of George. Not sure about the capo, think it's on the 5th fret on that T.V. show but the guitar may have been randomly tuned. I like putting it on the 7th. Thank you.

    Judge, it occurs to me that George used 7th fret for If I Needed Someone too. I think he liked the uke sounding tones of higher notes! Thanks again for your lesson.

      Yes, If I Needed Someone and Here Comes the Sun are both played with a capo using a D shape at the 7th fret. Give Me Love at the 3rd fret and so many others. He definitely liked that sound and finger position.😎

      Yep. Good thing he was copying his buddy Roger McGuinns compressed guitar. I remember in an iterview, George said that he sent him a copy of If I Needed Someone. What's interesting to note is that If I Neede. Someone is a smash hit for any other band in that era, but the one he was in. Beautiful job!

    I wonder if George wrote his songs on the uke and then transposed them to guitar using capo on 7th fret to get that sound?

    • @judgetimbers
      @judgetimbers  2 месяца назад +1

      That is certainly possible with George’s affinity towards the uke. 😊
